After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Anyone here know if Shinta had a archive site?

Oh I definitely don't subscribe to any particular scene. It just happens to be the genre I listen to my most. One of all time favorite bands being Splashdown.

Just so long as you aren't one of those stuck up indie kids

$Loftydreamer 1 hour 10 minutes ago
I pretty much am across all genres. I have so much music I can listen to music nonstop for an entire year without hearing a repeat. Though I seem to spend more time with indie music and local bands.

`Sakiera 1 hour 13 minutes ago
I listen to a variety of genres ranging from Sara Bareilles to The Dillinger Escape Plan to Monty Are I to Baracuda

$Loftydreamer 1 hour 16 minutes ago
They really are. So are you a metal fan in general. How about other genres?

`Sakiera 1 hour 18 minutes ago
I've only heard a few Epica songs but from what I've gathered they're quite good

$Loftydreamer 1 hour 26 minutes ago
Well I was talking about music in relation to Gaga. I love symphonic metal. A couple of my favorites are Leaves' Eyes, Visions of Atlantis, Delain, Epica, and Xandria

Well, i asked my friend, *i know this is all awkward and everything but i really can't side with my friend all the time ya know...0_o* well, i asked her "I thought being skinny was a good thing?" becuz, ya know...i thought it was a good thing...since you know what i mean. Since i don't wanna be mean to other people i'm not going to say people are big or anything but yea. Well, she told me that sometimes it CANT BE A GOOD THING. But then i was confused, to try to understanding into HOW IS IT A BAD THING IN SOME CASES? well, unless you were anorexic or lactose intolerance...? ya know what i mean. So can someone like, fill me in here...so how is it in some cases a bad thing? i thought being skinny means "High cholesterol-free"? how is it in some cases bad? is it good?

It depends. If you're talking about VERY skinny, then that's bad. But if it's just normal skinny, it's ok. Cuz i am pretty skinny and i am healthy as ever! ^_______________^ Being super skinny means you're anerexic and that means you try to stay away from food as good as possible and try everything to loe weight cuz you think you're fat. Being anerexic is bad and nobody should do that! Even if i am only 100 pounds, i still think i am fat, so i am kinda on the brink of being anerexic. But i am trying my best not to think that i am fat! =3

I'm a little confused with what you said, but i digress. I think that generally being skinny means that your gennerally more healthy than well...larger people. I would also agree with your friend that in some cases, it might not be a good thing. Here are some things i think of right now for this argument: 1. Thin people (females) have a higher chance of complications in child labor. 2. fat can add to survival certain everonmental conditions such as in artic weather. 3. umm i forgot my third reason lol. ill ad more ass it comes to me.

I was 5'3 weighing at about 85 pounds until my Senior year of high school.. Then I grew half an inch and gained 5 more pounds. XD My high metabolism causes me to waste energy breathing so I'm constantly eating sugar, snacking every second etc.. (Or that's the reason I give my friends who are always complaining about diets.)

Bad points? Wind. 20+ mph winds prevents me from walking in a straight line if it is coming perpendicular to my line of walking. Haha.

EXTRA: Oh, and because I eat a lot, my parents say I'm a waste of food. -_- It's good to be appreciated.

lactose intolerance

Not sure what that has to do with being skinny but you can be healthy or unhealthy as a skinny or average person. It depends on your activity level and your cardio cascular health. If you have a high metabolism you will naturally be thin especailly if you are young but as your body grows older this will slow down. If you are physically fit at any size then you will be able to maintain your figure at any age. Too skinny is if your body is not getting enough nutrition to support itself and it's cells. This could make your body start to use it's resources more and could cause cell damage. This could cause you to age more rapidly and look and feel older then you are. If you eat a balanced diet with good exercise then you should stay healthy and lean. Overweight people do run the risk of heart attacks and such. Cholesterol is more tied to genes and diet and lack of exercise rather than just weight. Someone who is overweight wont necessarily have higher than average cholesterol just as there are quite a few skinny people who also have high cholesterol and poor cardio vascular systems but just have high metabolisms.

IF you're skinny because you don't eat enough food, well that's bad, but if you're skinny and healthy that's great... I'm skinny, I eat alot and i'm still 108 pounds.
My friends tell me that i'm a twig.
And maybe I don't get fat because I have weight training and gym everyday.

I just to weight 95 pounds and I felt unhealthy... I don't know if it's cool... but, it depends how you look. If you look like you need food on your system. Then that's something you need help.. I think every girl is beautiful of how they look it doesn't matter.

I think that it depends on the situation. For some reason celebrities and models think that being skinny is a good thing, and that's why they become anorexia and bulimic. It's because of that anorexia and bulimia that they're not healthy, not because they're skinny.

If people are naturally skinny because of their high metabolic rate or something, then it's heathly. If they eat normally and stuff, then it's alright. So it really just depends on the reason why that person is skinny. I'm naturally skinny and I'm petite, but I'm healthy so I think that it's not a problem.

I'm skinny, and so far the only advantage I see is that I fit in almost any clothes, even womens apparel. My female friends back in college were envious of the fact that I can fit into tops that even they can't. The downside for me, as my being skinny is due to high metabolism (same with puppychow16) is that I eat a lot and often. Not that I'm hypoglycemic or anything, but I do need to munch on something regularly.

Skipping meals to stay skinny, however, is VERY unhealthy.

Skinny needs to be better defined, or else the answers will be all over the place. =) Assuming you are only talking about health benefits:

"Normal" weight is the best for your health. That's why it's defined as "normal." ;)

Anyways, as other people brought up, it also depends on *why* you're skinny. If you are skinny because you don't eat enough (e.g. anorexia), that's obviously bad because of malnutrition, etc. If you are skinny because you exercise a lot, you are getting enough nutrition. Too much exercise can also cause long term damage to your joints, so don't think that this is a perfect situation either. If you are just naturally skinny when you eat a healthy diet and exercise a healthy amount, then I guess that's good. =) I myself don't exercise as much as I should, but I'm still skinny even though I eat a pretty healthy amount. =(

I think the best weight people should be is whatever weight comes as the result of a healthy diet and exercise.

Being as skinny as Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas is definitely an unhealthy sign of malnutrition. In Third-world countries like the African continent, I guess being skinny is not something they have control over -- things are simply such that they don't have enough to eat which accounts for their thin frames. However I believe this thread is with regards to economically-developed countries like the United States and its problem with both ends of the body-size spectrum: obesity & malnourishment. And it is with this in mind that I would like to say how this whole notion of being skinny is a BAD thing.

In economically-developed countries food is in plenty and most people have no worries about what their next meal would be, because they are sure to get it (going on a diet does not count in this case). As such eating food is no longer a matter of sustenance or survival; it is treated as something that is optional and can be done away with. Thus such mentaliy leads to dieting and resultant eating disorders such as anerexia nervosa. And what is the basis for such phenomenon? To me, I think the culprit is advertising, especially those targetted at females.

Think about it: nowadays we are flooded with images of supposedly good-loking people whose common characteristic is having a skinny body. This is especially so for female models. They sashay along the catwalk in the latest styles but the disturbing thing is, they are all so thin. Given time the general public starts to believe the only way to look good is to look thin, resulting in this whole fad towards weight-loss among females in economically-developed countries today. The prevailing notion is that beauty equates skinny, which is perpetuated by the fashion magazines & the TV shows we see all the time.

It is ironic how on one hand people in less-developed countries regard skinny people as underfed pitiful people, but on the other hand are awed by those in more-developed countries for their ability to fit into a size 0. The issue here is no longer about food & eating; rather, it is one of self-image that is linked inextricably to one's external appearance only.

Skinny or not skinny... this ism't really much of a problem... most important thing this that you are able to get enough nutritients and energy to perform all your acts of daily living. Too much will result in fat and obesity - leading to heart problems later on. Too less will cause you to suffer from maluition and can to subsequent infections and diseases (as not enough nutrients reduce the capacity of your immune system)... not to mention muscle wasting. So... yeah... it really depends on what weight would be MOST suitable for that person... just make sure your actions in becoming skinny wouldn't land you in a hospital ^^

I'm skinny, but i have high cholesterol. haha. i don't really know how high though, cause when i read my blood test, it was just highlighted, so i just assumed it was high. i eat as much i as i like, anytime of the day when my stomach tells me to

but as stated above, you're skinny cause you skip meals, that's BAD!
