Be nice to kalico, z3ro, and she'll be nice to you. that's my cautioning when approaching a mod with a problem about your wall's rejection...you've got to be patient. i guess you can get frustrated that first there was the thing about hatesyou and shinn telling you not to advertise...and then kalico rejects your wall after your hard work, but the connotation of your words and wording should be a positive one if you want her to help you. i got her to help me once before and she was truly friendly, but if you sound agitated by the rejection, then i'm not sure how pleasant the correspondence between you two will be.

anyway, i don't find much about the wall that makes it worth rejecting. and i prefer the version you submitted. i'm sorry to say but gradients for bg is something i have a natural inclination to dislike (and i'm being my straightforward self when i say that), and the red stuff around the konoha symbol in the messed with version looks too much like a drop shadow. burn tooling the edges of the symbol to make it look like its aged parchment would be okay, but this blurry red stuff just pops the symbol too much.

if your doujinshi does have an artist's name and if you can't read the kanji, mind posting it up? maybe somebody could help you identify it. what's considered fanart by good artists are submitted to the category under the artist's name rather than the anime so just maybe...you could still get it in.

I won't be all cheesy and say "I absolutely love your wallpaper because it's totally amazing and fantastic and i don't know what people are talking about etc.". as much as i want to preserve new waller's self esteem and root for you and people like you, honesty is important for me. so i'll just say this much without being harsh or hypocritical: the beginning is the hardest stretch of walling and so please don't let this get to you. you are not doing yourself a favor and neither are you doing users who could potentially fall in love with your future works.
