Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Yeah, i wanted to go back to those 90's anime series. it's so nostalgic. though i clearly see the difference from the anime titles that we have now, the old ones are still good. like neon genesis evangelion, burn up series, bubblegum crisis, ranma 1/2, etc...

only thing is, i always wanted to download them but nobody seeds those anymore... =(

Old anime? I thought you were talking about 80s or 70s series :P

I wouldn't mind in watching classics again. In fact, everytime Cartoon Network LA broadcasts Saint Seiya (one of the animes of my childhood, lol... and no, it's not the censored version) I smile and can't stop seeing it.

Sometimes, when I can, I watch Kimba and Speed Racer in Boomerang. Hopefully, those guys will give us other rocking shows like Mazinger Z ;-;

Although I grew up with them, I tend to stay away from old anime. Even with good plots and characters, the animation bothers me sometimes which can't be helped. However, I do occasionally like to watch some like Ranma 1/2.

Hmm.. I think I am discouraged from watching old series if they have since been abandoned by the makers with no chance of a future or continuation; it's a real crushing feeling when you find a series you really like. I do like the here and now, and just passed with a large profit and hope of a future. I'm a real sucker for a long good and entertaining story. Others might say it's dragging on, but I see beyond this self imposed restriction. Yes, I do still get bored, and I won't say easily; but something that I notice that drags on, I just don't bother, but if a story continues to succeed and its primary objective to entertain, regardless of length, I shall continue to watch.

Of course, this doesn't stop me from watching the classics such as Neon Genesis Evangelion, which I feel I must watch to have a.. developed.. taste of anime and manga. One cannot act as a critic without first seeing the pieces that define the field. It helps tell good from bad. Besides, the classic, regardless of the fact their creators have likely moved on, they also are very entertaining to watch.

Yes, I still watch old animes... it's interesting to see the way anime shows used to look. I recently watched Marmalade Boy, it's such a big contrast when you compare it to current animes. The color and animation quality is really bad. Bu this doesn't stop me fro watching it since the story is still good in the ealier episodes. I'm planning on re-watchign the Slayers series next...

Well, I do still watch old animes, though it somehow really gets into my nerves...
sometimes. Though the story plot are definitely much better that the current animes...
For example, Rurouni Kenshin is one of the best animes, and the first few episodes
looks really old... But anyways, it is still an entertainment... And even now
I still sometimes watch Doraemon too, and its really old...

If I have the anime in my collection, I re-watch it over and over and over again no matter how old it is. Some of the old stuff is so much better then the new stuff too. For example I like the Gundam wing and some of the others mecha's better vs the new gundams like seed. (although seed is good too)

Never this the classics cause if we didn't like the classics, there would be no sequals and continuations based on past animes.

When it comes to old anime, then it's Knights of the Zodiac, a.k.a (Saint Seiya). The story is really intersting and so ar the five seasons. It gets even more intersting when the gold knights of the greek zodiac appears. I recommend watching it.

I watch old anime too, like Dragon Ball. i haven't seen the episdoes when goku was younger and that's why i'm watching them. the graphics can be sometimes a bit annoying since its quite bad, but the storyline it great...so who cares. Dragon ball z is still great!

I recently went nostalgic and rewatched the first three seasons of Sailor Moon. However very quickly after the begining of this pilgrimage I was gritting my teeth every Sailor Scouts chorus of 'Sailor Moon'.

Maybe Retro should stay just that - in the past.
