Inuyasha, should the anime continue where it left off?
1 year 2 months ago
Inuyasha is (or was) considered one of best anime, it had action, romance, comedy, good animation, good plot etc. However it lost some hype, mainly because people say it is getting too long (the manga).
I remember when I first started watching Inuyasha, it was one of those anime that was good from the start. Inuyasha is considered one of the best all rounded animes, and one of the few that had male and female fans. I do admit that it is getting too long and they should end the manga with a good story. I know some people don't like it and don't think they should continue the anime. However I think they should continue it and end it when the manga ends appropriately. I believe if an manga is adapted to anime it should stop until it is completed!
What do ya'll think, feel free to say anything?

If you had asked this (and I had replied) right when the anime had ended (in Japan), I might have a different opinion on the matter, but now...
Takahashi seems to be procrastinating... the manga needs to end, and I think she's afraid to do it. There's not much progress being made, and half of the manga seems like filler material. So while I would have liked to say "yeah, animate the rest of the manga!", I can't bring myself to say anymore. Yes, it's unfortunate the aniem had to end the way it did, but I think in the long run, it's better off.

I think they should continue because so many questions were left unanswered.
If you want answers, just read the manga, it's the best ;)
Its great if it continued, but frankly, I am 100% sure they won't for several reasons. One, they lost all their fans, two, they'll lose so much money trying to regain popularity and just by producing episodes, and three, they only care about money in actuality, not completely but money is a main factor which usually decides everything, whether it will be worth it to continue or not. Thats why it was ended in the first place.
I doubt there is any chance of the anime being continued after so long, but maybe if we're all lucky, we can get an OVA or Movie finale animating the end of the manga series when it does finally happen. I can't see encouraging anyone to bring back the series just to animate filler story arcs.
I loved InuYasha... I still do, but it did get to a point where it just seemed to drag on with the same stuff happening and no real progress to wrap things up.
I was saddened by the way the anime ended and do hope they'll conclude it with an OVA or movie soon.

Let me say, at its peak i just LOVED Inu Yasha. It was by far my favorite series in quite a while since the classics Shurato and Saint Seiya. Now, although i still enjou it, it doesn't impact seeing the same episodes again (with the exception with a few which just blew me away)
I watched all movies, but none of them gave Inu Yasha the ending that it deserved even though the manga already has a lot more story now. Even still, its popularity has dropped a lot, so the chances of a new season coming out is slim to none not to say i still pray for something new from the series.
What we can expect (if God is almighty) in the future is a OAV continuation with the last episodes. This seems to be the new trend nowadays, taking classic animes and continuing them in OAV like the 1986 Saint Seiya, which has a brand new season and its going strong. Even so, Inu Yasha is a fairly recent anime so don't expect some new episodes so soon, maybe will see them in a special 15 th anniversary celebration?

I wish the creators would keep their ending in mind. They don't expect to do this same story for the rest of their lives, do they? (I hope not) At it's peak, Inuyasha was a good and entertaining show. Add in the filler and... urk.
No, why do we want more fillers from Inuyasha? The ending was such a disappointed. Though I admit I love Inuyasha as you are correct because it's an all-rounder type of anime, but still if the continuation of Inuyasha anime is not captivating enough why then?
However, if the 'actual' ending of it is actually an ending than that would be lovely. I wouldn't mind a proper happy ending sort with the villian killed and all that you know.

I rather it didn't continue. The manga's dragging on, the anime ended in such a way that was disappointing, and fillers aren't nice stuff most of the time. I doubt they would even consider, seeing the way the Inuyasha has lost some fans due to its dragginess.

That's Takahashi's style. I don't know if she even plans the stories out, seems more like she creates the ideas as she goes along. It has seemed that way from Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, and Ranma ½.
It should continue

If they can keep it short,
by reducing the filler journey that makes up majority of the inuyasha anime, make every episode meaningful to the plot and end it on a nice note then bring it on!![( []-[])9 emoticon ( []-[])9 emoticon](http://static3.animepaper.net/images/emo/specky.gif)

I agree with maltesers only if they don't make anymore fillers and that they make it short and related to the plot or manga. Of course with a punch of an ending would be great.
