This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Many people think it had one of the greatest soundtracks ever (and I'm not one of those who don't).. mostly performed by Yoko Kanno (The Seatbelts), the Jazz and Blues themed songs are brilliant and blend in well with the style of the series, tell me your opinions about it..

As far as Anime music is concerned, I have yet to find another soundtrack that even comes close in terms of style, intensity, and mood...It's probably my favorite anime score, perhaps even my favorite soundtrack period.

It was excellent for the anime. The soundtracks just had a really nice, appropriate feel to Bebop.

Although, when I actually got my hands on the soundtracks, all of the songs were really repetitive (except for The Real Folk Blues and The Egg and I). A bit annoying, so I don't really listen to the OST anymore.

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE the music from Cowboy Bebop. I own all of the soundtracks, but I do occasionally find them repetitive. As of late, I have been listening to the music from Trigun alot more that Bebop. You should give it a try.

I personally like music from "black cat" and "air gear" ost, the music goes perfect with each show, plus it got a great feeling to it if you listen to it, it's something you can get into from either ost's

Cowboy Bebop Soundtracks are awesome and amazing. But I agree some variety is good. I too like the Trigun soundtrack and there are others i can't think of right now

The real folk blues is by far the best song, it just adds to the laid-back attitude of the series

I would switch Samurai Champloo with Akira and put Trigun in second.

That is my order. Cowboy Bebop still wins it out.

At first I didn't like it because I'm not really big into the Blues or Jazz, but it really grows on you. I still think I like the GITS soundtracks better, but Cowboy Bebop has a really good one.

I don't own the cowboy bebop soundtrack, but I was wondering if somebody could help me find one of the songs. What is the name of the song they used for when Spyke meets Vicious in that old church?

Yoko Kanno is a genius. The music for Cowboy Bebop is some of the best that I've ever heard in an anime, what makes it better is that you can listen to it anytime and that to me makes it some of the best. There are not very many soundtracks that I can say that about, most of the ones I have I only listen to if they happen to come up on my playlist shuffle in iTunes, but Cowboy Bebop's soundtrack I have in my car and on my iPod, I think it's safe to say I listen to it a lot.

As said in 'The Making of Cowboy Bebop: The Movie' (included on the DVD) Yoko Kanno's music are defenitely a big factor in the succes of the serie. Although I don't really dig the bluesy style, it defenitely fits perfectly with the whole setting of Cowboy Bebop.
By the way, nice to see Trigun on the third place, that OST absolutely rocks.

The osts for Cowboy Bebop, I have to admit, are very impressive. I have several favorites from the series, but overall, my taste doesn't really match the songs. I prefer Yoko Kanno's work in other shows much more, ie. Wolf's Rain and RahXephon.
