...Gundam Seed Eternity...
SEED is a potential that is found both in coordinators and naturals, but only few are able to do so. its kinda like how some people have double eyelids and some dont, or some are double jointed and some aren't. natural genetic phonemenon. when a person is hit by trigger (athrun: determination, shinn: anger, kira: dont need one most probably because of him being an ultimate coordinator), it activates it.
strike freedom was the most unfair gundam ever, and it was WAY too overpowered. Hi-MAT system, dragoon units, chest cannon, wings of light, double beam shield... i mean, what didn't this gundam NOT have? there's not a single gundam in the whole series that can take this thing down. destiny in contrast was one of the most poorly designed mech ever, since all you have to do was take down the anti ship sword to make destiny completely useless. not even infinite justice was that doped up >_>
guys, stop getting your hopes up (or down)... there will not be a eternity, nor any gundam series in that timeline...

Personally I'd like to see some form of followup, although I think some short OVA would be better than a new season (unless they manage to come up with something good). The problem with a new season is that the original main SEED characters would have to be in it (otherwise it's not really SEED). However, due to them being rather overpowering, etc., it'd be hard to make something that doesn't look like a half-assed attempt at extracting more money from the fans.
GS didn't feel properly finished (although watching the 5 minutes special, it could've ended there). GSD didn't finish it either, but rather just dragged it out. I still want to see some work on the relationships... GSD got so far that you could've actually made something satisfying with another 20 minutes (hence why I'd like an OVA at the very least).
As for rumors. It's rather hard to confirm anything unless they actually start working on the plot. When they're given a go, and the first episode is written (or at least planned), I think it's safe to say that there will be something done. But before that, it's just rumors and speculation.
All in all, I think it's pretty clear that there's at least a demand for a continuation, or a conclusion to the story, at the very least. Perhaps a movie?

wings of light
Didnt do anything but look cool. SO far V2 has been the only Gundam with WoL that ahve actually done anything
Eh? Are you saying Destiny's WoL doesn't do anything? If I'm not mistaken, Destiny's WoL is what creates those after images, and also give it a extra boost in speed. As for Strike Freedom being too overpowered, maybe in the C.E. universe, but compared to other uber Gundams like Wing Zero and Double X, Strike Freedom is nothing. But, in my opinion, I think the Akatsuki can take down S-Freedom easily in the hands of the right pilot. Thanks to it's reflective coating on it's armor, it pretty much makes most of S-Freedom's weapons useless except for the railguns and beam sabers. I also believe Infinite Justice can take down S-Freedom, since S-Freedom's main weapons are for long range, and I-Justice's main weapons mainly for close range, it would be tough for it to HiMAT spam, or unleash it's DRAGOONs with I-Justice being so close by, besides, thanks to I-Justice having beam shield on a anti-beam shield, it makes the impact explosion of HiMAT spam lessen. Just my opinion anyways. ^^
As for Destiny being completely useless if it's anti-ship sword is destroyed, well, that's not completely true, since Destiny can also use it's beam boomerangs as a short beam saber, or should I say dagger. Shinn only used it once in Phase 43 as far as I remember, but still, it's not completely defenseless in short range battle if it's anti-ship sword is gone.
And a 3rd Seed series may very well happen, due to Seed's popularity and all. All I wish for is that the old Seed cast don't take over the show like they did in Seed Destiny. And besides, since Seed Destiny has went through all the techs used in past Gundams, if they make a 3rd series, the creators will be forced to come up with techs for the Gundams, which would be cool. And having a Natural this time around as the star isn't bad either, maybe even a female star, that would also make a 3rd Seed series worth while, and last, but not less, I wish that there would be no more then 2 recap episodes, that was the most annoying thing to me, having a recap episode and a clip show in the last 10 episodes of a series is just not right.

I think that the 3rd series would go ahead since both series were both good... they need to tell their viewers what happened after the last battle in GSD anyway... The storyline is actually quite good too, with Athrun creating an organization in bringing peace to the world. If it is actually done, I think that there will be many viewers for it since the entire series is suppose to happen like this after GS anyway.
I also agree that Strike Freedom isn't that overpowered compared to other Gundams in other series. If you actually think about it, Wing Zero in Gundam Wing actually had to capability to destroy a colony with its twin buster cannon but Strike Freedom can't do that unless it has METEOR with it. Also Gundam Double X from After War Gundam X, with its cannons using the power beam from the moon, it actually does quite a pack of damage with the things that it destroys and the things that it attempts to destroy.
I actually hope that there will be a 3rd series, so that I can see Kira and Athrun fighting along side each other and trying to bring the world in peace. I hope that the main character would be either Natural or a girl.

A big dangy sword to penetrate enemies with...
Rocketlaunchers? I´m not counting METEOR here. Just plain original.
Requim combability?
Genesis´s power?
electric whip from the Gouf
It didn´t have alot of stuff!!
S-Freedom isn´t that overpowered if you think back at Akatsuki, for God´s sake it survived the Lohengrin simple!!
And with dragoon-system to either attack or defend itself and a big ship like the archangel.
That was the God gundam of Gundam Seed Destiny. Boring actually.
And if you look at it. S-Freedom was for long-range fighting with dragoonsystem and all these little guns etc etc. I-Justice is for close combat with laser legs, boomerangs for middle range and everything.
Never seen it
If they do make a new CE series they should set it far ahead into the future ala F-91
The akatsuki didn't get destroyed by the tanhauser beam because it activated its dragoon unit's beam shield at the last moment (its hard to see with the lights), which is similar to the ones in base artemis. as far as its thruster output and weapon pack goes, it's nothing compared to s-freedom, besides its basic beam reflectory coating.
when you have phase shift armor, rockets dont really do much anyways. beam weaponry is the only thing that can actually damage it in one hit. i mean, look at what happened to shinn when he got hit by sfreedom's rail gun right in the face. he was perfectly fine. if he had got hit by a beam, he would've been dead, so rocket launchers < beam weaponry.
and im talking about sfreedom's equipment in terms of NORMAL mobile suits. of course strike freedom can't have a genesis firing power capacity nor requiem power capacity, which takes up nuclear reactors several times bigger than a mobile suit >_>
the truth is, sfreedom had
1. HiMAT system, which composes of his dragoon (8) units, 2 rail gun, 2 beam rifles, and 2 upper cannons. that alone takes down 14 grunt units right off the bat.
2. 2 beam shield. not even the melee beast infinite justice has 2 beam shields
3. wings of light... which really doesn't do much, but for aesthetic purpose
4. 2 beam sabers that can be also turned into a dual saber
i mean, my god... not only is it a perfect long/mid range mobile suit with killer fire power, it can easily hold its own in close range with 2 beam sabers in each hand. in reality, infinite justice could never survive a battle with sfreedom if the battle took place in space. in earth atmosphere, where dragoon units can't be used, it would probably win. it's manueverability is just below destiny, which is the best in the series, so akatsuki would be mince meat after it got into close combat.
compare to strike freedom, infinite justice's upgrade seems pretty miniscule, with most distinguishable upgrade being a saber equipped legs.
just try to remember that im comparing strike freedom to other mobile suits in its own CE timeline, not wing/zeta/victory/turn a gundam timeline >_>
btw, wings of light wasn't what gave destiny it's after image... destiny is equipped with mirage colloid, which can also leave the mech with afterimage. and lets face it, destiny is an akward mech, its beam cannon is pretty weak because it really doesn't have the power of impulse's blast pack. sure, it has spare beam boomerangs left, but when you get down to close range with beam sabers, what use are those? it always made me wonder why destiny didn't have spare beam sabers in case its anti ship sword was taken down.

Ugh, what are you talking about dude, Akatsuki didn't activate it's DRAGOON shield when the Tanhauser fired at Archangel, I just rewatched that part to confirmed it. The DRAGOONs was still on the Akatsuki's backpack. And true, it may not be as fast as Strike Freedom, but like I said, in the hands of the right pilot, Akatsuki doesn't need to be faster. And no, it isn't just basic beam reflective coating, when it can reflect not only the almighty Tanhauser, but Destiny's beam cannon, which is as strong as S-Freedom's chest cannon.
And true, with Phase Shift armor, rocket launcher type weapons doesn't really affect you, but Akatsuki doesn't have PS armor. That's why I said S-Freedom's railguns would pose a problem for it. If the Gundam has Phase Shift armor, then beam weaponry is the only thing that can truly damage it, but that's not always the case, look at the Abyss for example, back in Phase 23, Freedom's railguns was able to damage it. Akatsuki doesn't have PS armor, but that's not really bad news, considering with beam reflective coating, the only thing that can hurt it is beam sabers or rocket launcher type weapons, which is a good thing, since S-Freedom's main weaponry is mostly beam type weapons.
And S-Freedom doesn't have two upper beam cannons on it's shoulders like the original Freedom, that was replaced with the chest cannon. And your math is a little off, with 8 DRAGOONs, 2 beam rifiles, 2 railguns, and a chest cannon, that's only make it able to take out 13 units. And having two beam shields don't really matter, because one is just fine, because if you use two at once, that means you're completely on the defensive, using just one has an advantage to it, because you can attack and defend at the same time, so having an extra beam shield is no big deal. Besides, Infinite Justice has a anti-beam shield along with a beam shield, so just in case the beam shield fails to activate in time, the shield is still there to protect it. And Freedom's two beam sabers pails in comparsion to what I-Justice has. I-Justice has two beam sabers, 3 beam boomerangs (2 attached to it's shoulders, one attached to shield, which could stay attached to it and can be use as an extra beam saber), 2 leg beams, two beam cutters on it's backpack, along with a center beam spike like weapon in the middle of it.. I think I'm missing some, but you get the idea. =P
And just because S-Freedom has DRAGOONs, that doesn't make it invincible in space. Just look at Shinn, he dodged S-Freedom's DRAGOONs pretty well in Phase 50. And what makes you think Destiny's manueverability is the best? With Destiny having an anti-ship sword along with that beam cannon, I would imagine that would slow it down a notch or two. And like I said earlier, Akatsuki doesn't need to be faster to beat S-Freedom, it just needs a good pilot.
I-Justice's upgrade is miniscule compared to S-Freedom's upgrades? The same can be said vice versa, just adding DRAGOONs to a Gundam doesn't make it God. And it can only be used in space, so if the battle was on Earth, it would make S-Freedom look like it never had any upgrades at all, while all of I-Justice's new weaponry can be used in space or on Earth.
Yeah, I knew the mirage colloid was a factor in Destiny leaving after images, but it's WoL is what activates the mirage colloid in first place, so it's WoL does do something rather then S-Freedom's WoL, which is just for show. And I mention it before, but Destiny's beam cannon is just as strong as S-Freedom's chest cannon, so it's not as weak as you make it out to be. And if the pilot is skilled enough, two extra beam boomerangs is all he needs for close combat. And I guess the reason Destiny doesn't have beam sabers is because nobody thought the Destiny can be outmatched since Shinn is so good (afterall, he did owned Freedom with Impulse), and it was ZAFT's latest mobile suit.

I dont really care about akatsuki at all. what im talking about is sfreedom's modification. are you denying the fact that firepower of sfreedom is much greater than all other gundams in CE timeline? even the long range artillery can be used in close range (chest cannon, rail gun). its really no brainer that if we got pilots of 2 equal skills and potential and had them fight each other in destiny and one in strike freedom, strike freedom will no doubt own it because it has plenty of defense for destiny's cannon with its beam shield, surplus of firepower even without the dragoon system, and as you mentioned, 2 beam sabers which are much lighter than an anti ship sword.
for your information, destiny's manueverability is NOT hindered by his huge ass sword. destiny runs on both nuclear AND duetrion energy, and duetrion enery makes up for the power output needed for the manueverability, which is easily shown when shinn needs to resupply in his battle at orb. WOL does shit in CE timeline, it is purely decorational and has no contribution to mirage colloid, i would really love where you got that information so i can correct my data on it.
sure, justice has lots of sabers, but it also has two hands (2 legs for offense, i know), so yea, it has lots of back up weapons, but it runs short of arms. yeah yeah, it has backback, which has been upgraded with few more porcupine needles, but sfreedom's dragoon units also cancels that out, if not more.
dragoon system doens't make you invincible, but pretty damn close. i mean, providence, whose distinguishable feature is only its dragoon system, gave freedom plenty of trouble and almost destroyed it.
but alas, this discussion really isn't about which mech is better, so i apologize for my immaturity and will stop with the same idea that shinn, the supposed protagonist of gsd, got screwed over when strike freedom and infinite justice came out, both of which are much superior to destiny gundam.

If it was on akatsuki's backpack, then they messed up that episode. Because, the dragoons are able to create a shield, so whatevers lol.
GUNDSM SEED ETERNITY IS BULLSHIT, I don't want to see another shitty same story again. gsd was BAD ENOUGH, SAME STYLE AS GS. bah, gets all the mindless watchers in though, hahah.

I'm not denying that Strike Freedom has the most firepower in the C.E. universe. I'm saying it's not as Godlike as you make it out to be. And wait a minute, I thought we were talking about Akatsuki vs. S-Freedom here, just when did we brought Destiny into the equation. I was just talking about Destiny's WoL and equipment, I'm not saying it can take down S-Freedom, I just said it's beam cannon is as strong as S-Freedom's chest cannon. And besides, if the 2 pilots were equal in skill and potential, then it's really a tied between the two Gundams, because Shinn and Kira are pretty much equal in terms of skill. Their battle in Phase 42 had no real winner, it could of gone on for quite awhile if Destiny didn't run out of energy.
And I'm just saying how I see it, Destiny's anti-ship sword may not slow it down by a lot, but it got to slow Destiny down somewhat, considering Destiny needs to use both it's hands to use it. As for the mirage colloid thing, I don't ever remember Destiny being able to leave after images without it's WoL on, so that's why I said it's WoL have something to do with the mirage colloid being activated.
I haven't seen Phase 50 of Seed in awhile, but from what I remember, Kira only had trouble with Providence's DRAGOONs when Freedom was still attached to METEOR, after METEOR was destroyed, Freedom dodged the DRAGOONs pretty well. Well, until Fllay died anyways.
I like this little disccusion we're having, so if you have anything you want to comment on, inanimate, then PM me.
And to avoid this post from being completely off topic. Yeah, GSD's plot was pretty much the same as the original Seed, but not completely, and it has it's moments, until the old Seed cast came and take over the show.

Newsflash, alot of Gundam borrow plot elements from each other.
As for Destiny beeinlg like Seed.
also D's plot was NOT liek Seed's.
I dont remeber Seed having a antagonist who was trying to implemnt a plan were ones fate was genecticly chosen, it had a mad man who wanted to kill everyone. I dont recall Seed have armed assaults against a group of weapon's merchants either.

Ugh, don't you think I know that? It's just that Seed does it more so then other Gundam series.
And I said it was pretty much the same, but not exactly, it's the same because the first episode of both series, Gundams were hijacked, main character of both series went into SEED mode for first time around 11th episode, first Gundam pilot died around the 30th episode (Nicol in Seed, Auel in Seed Destiny), Kira gets owned, and survive impossible situations, and upgrades to new Gundam 4-5 episodes later, Orb Invasion (First by EA, then ZAFT), Shinn and Stellar meeting was like Athrun and Cagalli's meeting, Shinn returning Stellar to EA, was like Kira returning Lacus to ZAFT, Athrun is unsure of his actions, mopes around, then decides to defect, similar super weapon capable of destroying mankind near end of series.
So lose the attitude would you?
