Who would win in a battle, Unit-01 or Goku?
Hello, Talon Nokone here. I was just talking with a friend on msn messenger about the differences about DBZ and Evangelion. He says that Goku would be able to win in a battle against Evangelion Unit-01. I think that is a load of crap right there. Unit-01 and Shinji are practically "god" in the movie "The End of Evangelion" and though Goku has fought and won against things just as big as Unit-01, I still do not think that Goku would be able to last very long against a fully operational Evangelion. Now I do not know that much about DBZ but I have a general idea of everything that is happening in their universe. I am more of Neon Genesis Evangelion fan. But I don't want this argument to be one sided. I want to here opinions from both sides.

This would be the weirdest fight in the world. id say Goku only because he's powerful enough to destroy a planet or two with one blast, and so Shinji and Unit 01 wouldnt have much to stand on anymore, or breathe very well. plus Goku can go without food and air if he has to. Shinji needs batteries and air..

Interesting point of view there. But You forget that Unit-01 can activate itself even without any power draining into it. So you can't really win there. =P
I'd say this thread might be shut down by mods...^_^;
But back to the topic, if Unit-01 ever does battle Goku by some weird manipulation of anime producers, I think Unit-01 would win, only because I love EVA more than DBZ, and Shinji IS symbolic of something more powerful than Goku will ever be, so I'd side with Unit-01, unless Goku uses the dragon balls to wish Shinji dead...but that's a whole different story XD

Uhh... hello? did anyone see the end of evangelion, where unit 01 is responsible for wiping out every human being? how would goku, an inhibitant of human, avoid that?
evangelion also has at field, which would negate most energy blast (of course, not all). it also has inhuman regeneration rate, and it is so big that all it has to do is swipe and goku would be hit. goku can't beat a god.
by the way, unit 01 doesn't need batteries. did you guys miss the episode where it devoured s-2 engine from one of the angels?
in all reality, goku can't live without air (space), because he would explode (basic law of physics, there's no outside molecule that can counteract the ones in your body). there's never been a case where goku lived in an environment without air (space) in the anime. evangelions, however, can.

That wasnt really Eva 01 doing all that thought, that was tht Rei-Adam thingies that fused with Eva 01. Also it's been shown time and time gain that with enough power an AT Feild is penatrateable. Then there's the whole speed issue, Eva wouldnt be able to touch Goku let alone hit him.

Goku has an easy way to win. He can use that teleport trick of his to go inside the Eva and kill Shinji directly.
Hm...well...i don't think anything eva 1 has can hurt goku...not even AT and anti At fields...also..abouat blowing up humans...keep in mind that Goku isn't human ...maybe gohan and goten...but time has shown that goku is even more powerful than them (countrary to what the storyline says....bloodline isn't everyhting and education makes you weak) =)

Ooo...umm...ahh...ehh...I don't know. I'm definitely a fan of both series and both Unit 01 and Gokou have their strong points.

Really matters at what point in the series your talking about with Goku, at the end of DBGT he's pretty much god, there isn't anything i can think out there that could touch him let alone beat him. He's just to powerful.

Goku who else XP I think the DBZ charas combined are the most powerful characters ever created even superman and unicron from transformers the movie wont stand a chance against them or gogetta alone XP
