As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

*shakes head* If I stop now it'll never get finished, plus I'm so close to completion (I think)

~Loleta 14 minutes ago
Hi there Mysticmom2 :). I didn't know that you said hi when had I posted my previous comment, sorry ;). Sakiera. I guess it's really harder than it looks huh(?). Well, take a little break from the wallpaper for now. Unless it's for a contest.

Any background can cause me to pull my hair out, but this one is kind of scenic

~Loleta 24 minutes ago
WWhat type of background?

~Mysticmom2 27 minutes ago
Hey guys.

`Sakiera 33 minutes ago
They can just be arduous to work on, plus I fail when it comes to backgrounds and it's taking a toll on my Bleach wall...

Well the title pretty well defines it. Which anime series/movie/OVA got you into the world of anime?

For me, I'd seen the random peice of anime when I was little, but I just thought it was cool and didn't think anything else about it. Even when I watched DBZ and others on Toonami, I was starting to get into the world of anime, but I wasn't really hooked. It took me getting hooked on Cowboy Bebop during Adult Swim to really get me into the world. After that I sought out anime fiercly, hungrily, Otakuly...

I guess if you really want the very first anime I ever saw though, it was Venus Wars, very old-school and get this, it was on American Movie Classic, early saturday mornings they would sometimes show anime.

Im thinking the first anime I ever watched was Speed Racer... most likely. But I also watched this one movie that I barely ever see anything about called "Serendipity the pink dragon" but the song sings "Serendipity the pink dinosaur" so...whatever lol. Another early anime for me was G-Force or Gatchaman. Ahh, brings back the memories of the good ole days.

The first one I remember was watching the japanese little mermaid when I was about 6 or 7 years old. the first anime seires I watched was Dragonball z, and the first OVA (with many) was probably Tenchi Muyo...

I loved anime ever since I found out what it was... and at school after awhile I was probably the most knowlegdeable of everyone there.

although if I could remember every anime that I've seen all the way through, (movie, OVA or series) it would be close to 250 different ones, and that's not including movies attached to an anime series.

Cowboy Bebop. I had just started to take Japanese classes in college and wanted something to practice. Liked it, and then watched Trigun. Liked it too, and then started watching Naruto. From then on it's been a whole lot of everything. FMA, FMP, Eureka, Bleach, Black Cat, Kino no tabi, etc...

My first anime was Fushigi Yuugi. This series got me somewhat interested in anime because I didn't realize animation could be this interesting. The series that really got me crazy addicted was Slayers. And now here I am today with anime taking up my everyday.

Haha! Nice!! I'd say Kenshin would be my first subbed anime. :) Before then it would be DBZ and whatever else they had on cartoon network. Hmm...now that I think about it...it would be nice to re-watch it...

My first anime was Vampire Hunter D - and I did not like it at all. I borrowed it from my friend's boyfried. He said it was good and different from Disney stuff (at the time I only watched Disney animation) and I was surprised at the violence...so I didn't watch anymore until someone else told me to go watch Fushigi Yuugi with her (she had the fansubbed tapes) and I hated Fushigi Yuugi. About a year later, I watched Trigun volume 1 and it was the first anime series I enjoyed watching - so that's when I actually got into anime. After that was Record of Loddoss War, Rurouni Kenshin and Berserk.

Well.. I think from what people would see when they see my avatar is a pic of Arale.. I was two years old and it was about 1986... Dr. Slump was my very first anime..and so to this day..it is still one of my favorites.. A little info.. Dr. Slump is an earlier work of Akira Toriyama... I bet that people do know about it now, because the manga has been translated by Shonen Jump.
