It's not that they are merging, but rather that Geneon has closed their distribution department, and FUNimation is buying the rights to distribute them now that Geneon is no longer doing so. I still wish Geneon would get back in it, although it's more because they rescued my favourite series (Cardcaptor Sakura) from the evil clutches of Nelvana, hehehehe ^_^.

I just hope that they do a good job with the series they've gotten ^_^. I wonder if they are going to be licensing any more. I can't wait to see how they handle Karin, Kamichu!, and Rozen Maiden ^_^.

I'm just glad I get to continue buying the animes Geneon was releasing!
