As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Looking forward to the second FMA anime. I'm interested to see what they do with it...since if it has an episode cap and the manga isn't over yet, they can't animate the ending the creator has planned for the series.

Well, we'll see won't we?

I just checked animenewsnetwork and found news about the second season. According to February issue of Newtype magazine, the second season will premiere in April. BONES had started the production last spring and December 2008 the writer had written the script for the 18th episode. There's no further notice about the total episode, whether it'll last long like the first season or just 26.

I'm hoping that they redo the entire story from scratch and follow the manga exactly in the same manner as Hellsing Ultimate. Because as much as I liked the original Fullmetal Alchemist anime the manga storyline is much more interesting and complex.

There's a lot of hype for this second season. It'll probably stay true to the manga this time, which is really awesome because the manga was really kickass (though I'm not saying the original story for the first season was bad).

Not to mention we'll finally get to see the sexy Olivia Armstrong animated.

I can't believe they're coming out with a second season. It better be good. I thought the movie was pretty lame, so I'm wondering how the second season going to be.

I hope they continue to use good OST. I loved FMA's OST.

I'm under the impression that this second season will stay true to the manga, which is loads better than the first anime season. The first anime season itself wasn't too bad, and I accepted it. But I have to agree that the movie was indeed bad.

I enjoyed the anime, but didnt watch the movie since many reviews showed that it was a total failure. Can't wait till the 2nd season is out, great anime for real, made me cry more than once lol.. /(-_-)/~ emoticon
