Do you prefer anime with 13, 24, or over 40 eps?
I really don't care, while I like quality animation, I'm more concerned with good characterization, humor, and a decent plot. While many animes that run for a long time start having filler episodes and even filler seasons--those can be avoided. A lot of anime out there is just 'ok' and I wouldn't want to see more then 13-26 episodes of it. But other series that have run/ran for a while: One Piece, Inu-Yasha, Hunter x Hunter, etc. are personal favorites and I don't mind that the animation isn't as awesome as smaller series. Longer series can be more indepth and have more possibilities, plus, I'm ashamed to admit this, but it's true--I dislike endings. If I really like something it bothers me when it ends, so yeah, I guess it makes sense that I don't mind long series like most people.

I prefer animes of 13-24 eps. Of course if it is a great anime with lots o story to tell and I really love it I don't mind it being bigger. But normally animes with too many eps tend to be repetitive :faint: If it's a anime about a love story I prefer it short or it begins to be really anoying x_x

I guess most have said it, but it always depends on the anime... some goes "...huh?" in 13 episodes while the others goes "So slowww..." in 52+ episodes. I prefer anime with 26 episodes at most though. Most of the time, I can simply walk away from what I watch, no matter how interesting it is <!--emo&^_^--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='happy.gif' /><!--endemo-->
... That's just me though *sweatdrops*
And to second Dias, there's always the risk of licensing x_x At times, the quicker it finished, it's better. Sadly, not all goes that way...

It really depends on how well the episodes are planned and done...and also what genre they are...A funny anime like Ranma 1/2 began to lose it's appeal once we got to the 3rd series...it just wasn't witty anymore.
I think series like cowboy bebop were a good length, even though i wish they would make more.
The longest anime I have completely watched was Kodomo no omocha, which went for 102 episodes (i think). I managed to stay involved throughout that one, though I was getting tired towards the end.
Inuyasha is going for FAR too long, I think it needs to be concluded.
*cough* the dragon ball series is just FAR to long... i mean, how many superdupersuper saijins can they become?

12, 13, 24, 26 episoders are for me <!--emo&^_^--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='happy.gif' /><!--endemo--> altho' i do watch some really long ones like prince of tennis or one piece, generally i prefer the shorter ones. they have just enuf length to develop the story nicely.
the longer ones tend to stop getting better after a while (eg. inuyasha). so far, one piece is the only one that seems interesting even after so long coz they do in depth character development for each and every one of the main cast and sometimes even the bad guys.

As much as it would need to play out a well plotted anime. i dont personally care how many episodes it is if its a good plot. if anyone has seen tokyo underground, i believe it wouldve been a great 52 episode anime but it was 26, it had a great plot.
Actually... I don't really care. <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo--> I watched whatever I like regardless how many episodes. But I don't really like the one with 13 episodes. Seems too short!

I prefer animes episode around 24 - 26 eps because 13 eps is too short

Hm...i think that the length doesn't really matter..it's the plot..kinda like what everyone else has said..
but i think one also needs to consider that..a second season might not happen..(i.e. karekano, the anime just..stopped, damn it)
i think that if the anime is based on the manga..it should follow the manga closely (kinda like hikago)
what i hate the most about most long manga turned into 26 ep anime is that they make up an ending...a crap ass ending (i.e. samurai deeper kyo...the manga is so much better..)
anyways, we don't see a lot of 13 ep animes anymore do we? maybe i just don't happen to watch those series...<!--emo&^_^--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='happy.gif' /><!--endemo-->;

I like 13 cuz it cuts to the chase and you don't bore your mind off after 15 of them. Like 13 & 26 eps. The way to go. For sure.

Between 13 and 26...at most thirty something...more than that...i think it´s just too much
I just lost interest if there are tooo much episodes...
The only series that I´ve watched and that had more than thirty eps was slam dunk (If i remember well)..
Greetings!

I'm not usually too picky, but anime's with around 24 - 30 eps work pretty well for me :3 Cause as others have said, SOMETIMES, 13 eps isn't quite enough for a storyline to come out and the long ones are hard to keep up with sometimes T.T; Although I do enjoy them from time to time :3

Depending on how the story of the anime is. If the story is good then i don't mind if the anime is has lots of episode. The only thing i hate is waiting for the next episode to come out
