Ecchi in Anime
jyswitWe live in an open world, what more can you expect? Though, maybe the older generations might find animation as porn. But it's not true! Animation is an artwork, moving artwork.
Exactly, the animation of ecchi elements in anime is trying to grabbing our attention in the most craziest of ways, but it's not always about how badly the cam is up a anime girl skirt, but the detail and animation for that part. Obviuosly, it's freedom of speech, so they can add on as much ecchi as they want, as long there is a plot, then the anime would be sucessful.
Moderate ecchi is funny in an anime show, and keeps the show interesting. (interesting? ?.?) But all ecchi and no story make viewers go something something......
And as many people say, " Too much of anything is a bad thing."
And as many people say, " Too much of anything is a bad thing."
Well its really depends, but i rlly dont mind the ecchi. Some animes are just bad wit ecchi, and some arent.
I don't mind ecchi or fanservice, but an anime series (or any series for that matter) has to have a decent story and characters, or it's all worthless. Goldenboy and Girls Bravo are examples of ecchi anime, a step above typical fan service but just a knotch below hentai. I enjoyed both of these titles, even if they weren't phenomenal. On the other hand, Amaenaideyo had fan service galour, but it was horrible. This is an example of where the writers relied completely on fan service rather than a solid plot to sell the show, and this was a big mistake. In the end it's up to individual taste, but to me, an anime needs substance if it's going to work.

I agree. If writers want to input some fanservice, give the anime a decent story or make it enjoyable, to say the least. After all, why just showcase sexy bodies why their acting is mediocre.
But tastes in ecchi will depend on the country where it would be localized. In European countries such as France, ecchi can have a field because the people there are liberal (especially when you would see bare-breasted showgirls on TV). However, in more conservative countries such as the US, they have to pass the censors and edit out the ecchi. Just my say.
Lol, I have no problemw ith it like im sure half the people in here said already its sex cells, and thats a good thing. xD

I think it's always the same: if a series is bad then get some erotic in it. However I nevertheless like ecchi.

Its how the artist/creator wants it -shrug-
Kakashi0 ^______^ exactly!!
Ecchi content...hmm...well its not a big deal for me as long as the storyline is good, some anime like Midori no Hibi, Shuffle, or Girls Bravo had some ecchi, but i like them because of the story, ecchi is not good for kids, but is not bad for me :P
I don't mind a little ecchi here and there :P. I've got to say though it's a good attention grabber.
I like ecchi animes the ones i've seen are all decent animes plus i think its funny to watch the guys in those animes blush so much.

Some of it is ok. But, when it gets to the point where there is no plot, what's the point of having that "anime"?
~just think of ecchi as added spices to make anime more flavorful.. :) and to me, i do not see anything wrong with that, it's really funny sometimes.. haha
*sighs, shrugs*
Whatever sell the copies. I try to block out the gratuity. Sometimes, it's just a device to break tension or make a situation embarassing for the veiwer. Not much gets to me anymore . . . must be the New Yorker in me.
