To my personal opinion, ecchi is only few steps away from hentai, which is, a pure porn.

To some extent I can take ecchi as a comedic and entertaining way, but I can only tolerate that much. Too much 'fanservice' will definitely spoil the story, and it ruined my vision too. I tend to think less of anime with plentiful ecchi scene and to some point even loathe such anime.

I don't want to be a hypocrit by saying that ecchi should not be there for some moral judgement. We are all old enough to choose which one is good for us, but certainly, there are much more other way to make an anime fun without too much bouncing breast or itsy bitsy tiny skirt.

I'm certainly not against any form of ecchi, but it is annoying when there's perhaps *too much* ecchi. For example, in certain episodes of Shuffle it's nothing but panty shots. Don't get me wrong, panty shots are great but there is a point where it's overdone and just annoying.

Yeah, dont get me wrong Im am an ecchi supporter but massive amounts of gratuitous panty shots mess up a storyline.
