This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Mm... i think it is pretty good, but you are right something is missing.... the wallpaper is amazing, but i think that a text is missing, something related to this anime(i havent seen this before so i cant help you with that!)
if you add a text to it, it will probably look better!! try it!
hope this helps!!
good luck!*:)

Hmmm, yeah! Try to add a text like what Kaorux said. I think that would be good. Just make sure to add a text to go with the wallpaper.

Also, to me, the scan seems to be a little scratchy. Like near his finger and what not. I think that should be fixed up a little. It's kind of dark, but I don't really think it's in issue.

But other than that. It's very nice and I love the buildings. It's very cool. Good luck!

Hate to spoil the fun, but AnimePaper doesn't allow simple stock photos to be used as a background... does it? O.o [goes over to re-read the policy]. Yup, here it is:

If you just used a stock or you took a stock and used 1 filter, that's also not really good enough. The background is generally the area where you get to shine when you make a wall - try to really put some effort in.

So in other words, you have to redo the background completely ^_^' Otherwise, it'll surely not be accepted.

Try using some cloud brushes and gradients; those are usually a quick way to get the job done ;)

Mmm... not really, there is a get backers wallpaper in the gallery, take a look at it:

http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/wallpapers/Get-Backers/item39294/

as the comment said, it is a picture of a bed...
well hope this helps, i dont know really, but if it was accepted is because it is posible to do it that way right?

Hello,

This wallpaper is quite simple yet it works great. There are somethings about that rule that a bit "fuzzy." If you worked on the stock to blend it well with the actual scan and worked with it to match the lighting so it all blended together then it can be accepted (atleast I think they would). ANYWAYS...

On to your wallpaper. Everything seems to be working together very well. Just one object that stands out to much. Your clouds. They wouldn't be ridiculously white like that at the time of day it is in the scene. Usually clouds appear more grey, purple, orange and pink at the time your wallpaper is depicting. So I'd work on the clouds in making the shadow a bit dark and grey and purple. The lighter side I'd make...a light pink but not over zealous. Try that out and give us a show.

Have a nice day.
