I'll start off by saying that I love Namco for bringing Tekken and Soul Calibur to our shores, and giving me the joy of beating friends and having fun. They are good games...I remember playing Jun Kazama all the time, it was the first character that I actually mastered without being killed myself by my sensei. Soul Calibur is a good game, love Talim. So, anyone else here fans besides me?

Don't worry... you aren't alone in your fandom. I do lean toward Tekken more than Soul Calibur though as my avi might suggest. I've recently been training a friend to play Tekken 5 for the purposes of destroying my flatmate seeing as he won't play me any more.

Soul calibur: mitsurugi, sophitia, taki, zasalamel, astroth, kilik

I used to be a big Tekken fan back in the days of T2 and 3, even had alot of TTT days... I hardly touched 4 since I couldn't stand the addition of wall stages, much less what they did with the traditional side step system. I figure T4's upside is Xiaoyu's pink outfit (nice ava, hatesyou D: )... I do own 5, but don't play it so much. Steve/Fury ftw when I do though.

SAd to say, I'm pretty bad at 3D fighters. I'm a lot better at fighting games like 3s and MvC2

I never really liked Tekken series, they don't feel like... "too much action" for a fighting game, I don't know exactly; but Soul Calibur it's my favorite game, I still have my Dreamcast here for some fighting heh... not to mention Soul Calibur 2 and 3, of course :)

I have heard that Tekken 6 is the last of the series...has anyone else heard this?

Well, I traverse many fighting game relms, it is my next fav ganre after RPG's However I just finished NamcoXcapcoM and it was so damn good. (despite the fact I couldn't read all that dialoge). I mean an RPG game consisting of both Tekken, Soul Calibur, and Rpg heros. With all their moves I might add too. So awesome!
Of course I like the Soul Calibur series better then tekken, while my friends likes tekken better. But we all like Street Fighter a bit better then the other too. (who were in my game as well).

However I think the fighting engine and style in Narutomitt Hero series is the best fighting game engine ever.
For those who don't know, It plays like Smash Bros for Nintendo.

Love 'em both to death, me. :D I have an especially soft spot for Tekken, since I've been playing it for much longer than SC. I absolutely ADORE Yoshimitsu in Tekken, and have played as him from the very beginning - he's just so full of awesome that it's not even funny. The thing I'm waiting most anxiously whenever a new Tekken game is announced is always what he will look like this time around! I also play a bit of Xiaoyu (he was my main partner for Yoshi in TTT), but am not all that good with her to be frank.
It sucks that they won't, apparently, be releasing Dark Resurrection on a "normal" console at all, because I'd really hate to get a PSP just to play one game. And it's not like I can just walk to the nearest arcade and play it since I live in Finland, and there are pretty much no arcades ANYWHERE these days, I kid you not. It's really sad.

And yeah, I play Soul Calibur as well, but I'm nowhere near as good in it as I am in Tekken (which is not much, of course), but I'm practicing very hard! :) Again, Yoshimitsu is my main character - I wasn't going to play as him, I swear, it just happened! I was actually thinking of learning Voldo, but then little by little I started to lean towards Yoshimitsu without even noticing! I swear, it's fate. I still play as Voldo a little, but not nearly as much as good ol' Yoshi. I just love his squid-mask in SC3. xD

Tekken 5: Jun Kazama, Asuka Kazama, Kazuya, Xiaoyu, Nina, Anna, Hwoarang, Eddy, Kunimitsu (early Tekken)
Soul Calibur 3: Talim, Cassandra, Taki, Setsuka, (The swordmaster job skill - especially the rapier, katana, staff, and lance)

Im more of a soul calibur fan then a tekken fan

Tekken and Soul Calibur are by far the best fighters on any console. SC2 I have, but not 3 yet, although I've heard it isn't as good as 2. Anyway, I'm more of a Tekken fan myself, Xiaoyu being my favourite, and by far the cutest of all... Talim coming in a close second though. ^_____^;

I love Soul Calibour. It's the best Fighting Game on the earth IMO.
I have got Soul Calibour 2 on my Gamecube and it's my favorite game on it.
If a had a playstation2, i would buy the 3rd game, but i don't have a playsy.
Tekken is very good too, i play it with friends, but I lose nearly every time... XD
