This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Does anybody know "The Five deadly Venoms"? It was about 5 Fighters who are specialized in certain Animal-Style-techniques. One was Centipede, the second one was the Snake, the third one was the Scorpion, the fourth one the Lizard and the fifth one the Toad... Their former Master asked his last student to combine with one of those and bring the others to justice...
A very recommandable movie to Martial Arts-fans...

Actually,... all Asian Movies that I know of and like are .... Martial Arts Based. It already started when I was a kid. It started with some Kung Fu Movies that I first watched in my first trip to Thailand. I just saw a scene in which a White shirt guy with a dark red vest fought some thugs with his Sword,... he defeated a lot, but was cornered in the end and suddenly his legs were captured-bound with silk ropes and he was pulled anywhere,... and at that moment, my older Cousin told me "This is Kung Fu!" And I was a little scared, because I was really very young at that age. I was 7 years or so...

A few years later my father introduced me to Hong Kong Movies which were of course dubbed in German... Those movies were called "Dance of the Drunken Mantis"(Knochenbrecher schlägt wieder zu-> Was the German Title for this movie) and "Hell's Wind Staff"... By the time we had a Beta-Tape Videorecorder...

Nowadays,... the Martial Arts that I see in the Hong Kong Movies,... everything has already been seen before, the storyline not so original anymore... That's just my opinion-...

I liked the new Kazakh film "The Nomad". It's very beautiful and interesting. The main characters are great. That's a historical movie about the confrontation of different nationalities.

Jangwha Hongryeon (The Tale of Two Sisters) is my favorite Asian movie.

I thought it was brilliant how the storyline had an unexpected twist at the end and all of the "noo way" parts of the movie made so much sense. The movie becomes even more brilliant when you realize that there are so many possible conclusions to the story, and it makes your head start working in order to find the answer.

You've seen the Nomad??? Hey, tell me, since when did it air in your country (whereever it is)... That's a movie I'm waiting for for a looong, long time as Mark Dacascos-fan. Neither in Germany nor in Thailand where I currently live is any sign of ... "The Nomad"...
Mark Dacascos plays Sharish in it, as far as I remember.

And while I talk about Mark Dacascos. Does Anybody know the movies Drive and China Strike Force?

I've always like the older John Woo movies like The Killer, Hard Boiled, and any other of his movies involving diving and akimbo pistols.

John Woo also directed Mission Impossible 2 which was more kinda Action based than the very first one,... It even had Jin Kazama's Scissor drop attack from Tekken.

Best Hong Kong Martial Art-related US-movies are Matrix 1 and 2. Matrix 2 also focused a lot on Martial Arts. It seemed rather made for Martial Art-Lovers... Matrix 3 however was the worst of them all. The 2 Producers got inspred by Japanese Anime BTW...

I think I might have to check this out. Seems like an awesome idea for a martial arts flick.

Have also been wanting to watch The Tale of Two Sisters, but unfortunately, someone rented it at my video store and has not returned it :(

"The Big Heat" a Hong Kong film. Police story about a syndicate who killed one of the police spies and his partner wanted to nab them not just ofr justice but for his partner as well but they want to do it legally. It's cool cause the actions are gruesome like a man getting de-capitated and torn in half. PLus the scene where the crook gets shot and gets banged and rolled by a car.

Of course more and more jet li films I remember his movie "fist of legend" and "my father is hero" the story is really cool.

Japanese films also made a big impact on me like "Azumi" the fight scenes and the way the camera is being moved are cool and the actress who played azumi is pretty cute.

Well, I live in Moscow and we have earlier premier of that movie(the President of Kazahstan came on it too! to support the actors...). I like Mark Dacascos very much, he's awesome! He was actually a bad guy in "The Nomad" but he was so cool! He was killed there... :( I hope you'll like that movie just like I do!

Ok lets see.. Ive seen BR and BR2 I loved the first one its in my top 4 2nd one was good for a generic action fling though, saw "Tale of two sisters" wow, that movie really made me just go "OH SH@%" when they pulled out the plot twist good movie but Im not a huge fan of horror, I havent seen Oldboy but Ive seen one like it, its called "Bittersweet Life" (Dalkomhan insaeng) your basic gangster revenge plot, very cool. "Il Mare" was a little too chick flick for me Im sorry, but my bar for Jeon was set SO HIGH that it just didnt cut it for me. now that I mention Jeon, I saw Windstruck loved the first half, second was was ok but by the end was just awesome, probably because my absolute favorite movie is "My Sassy Girl" Its so uplifting and funny that I dont even care if Im risking man points by listing a romantic comedy as my favorite movie. I guess I can regain those manpoints by being a HUGE Bruce lee fan, yea Im talking to you Maxi I dont personally own any of his movies but Ive seen "The Chinese Connection" and "Enter the Dragon" and laughed for hours on end at "Game of Death" as well as so many other fake Bruce Lee movies that wind up being dubbed on Heavy.com Ive also got a small collection of just random kungfu movies, you know made in the 70's bad dubbing and predictable stories all that good stuff. also I have to agree that Tony Jaa is TOTALLY the next big thing in martial arts, I was interested in Muay Thai before but "Ong Bak" just put me into psycho mode, that man is awesome

@Santagro: You live in Moscow,.... ah, yes,... that makes sense that you have already seen it. It can take a very long time until we in Germany or in Thailand may ever see the Nomad. As far as I know, it comes out in the USA at Christmas time,... so maybe I will have to wait until 2007 Spring,... Apart from Spoilers...Can you at least tell me, whether Mark Dacascos fought good in this movie? Did his Martial Arts Skill get into Action well?
You know Mark Dacascos IMO, is one of the most underestimated Martial Arts Actors in the World. He could have starred in many potential Martial Arts Action movies long ago,... but unfortunately it didn't go that way. The producers don't give him so much credits, for whatever reason...
Only good Martial Arts Movies from Mark Dacascos were Brotherhood of the Wolves, Drive, Only the Strong and China Strike Force,... and Crying Freeman, which is,... btw another Asian-based movie directed by Christophe Gans, the Creator of Brotherhood of the Wolves

I choose twin effect in vampire movie.
the office in horror.
so close and naked weapon in sexy action movie.
but if the best movie it is battle royale
