"Steve Irwin reportedly killed in freak accident
Monday Sep 4 14:00 AEST
By ninemsn staff writers

-------------

BREAKING NEWS: Steve "The Crocodile Hunter" Irwin is reportedly dead after
being stung by a sting-ray during the filming of a new TV series.

--------------

The Courier Mail has reported the 43-year-old had a heart seizure after a
sting-ray barb went through his chest off the Low Islands in North Queensland,
near Port Douglas. "

========

I can't find much with a google search but I just saw 2 short clips on Q-13 FOX news saying that he died today and his wife may not even know of her husbands death !

An unfortunate end. I was never a huge fan of his show but I liked watching it from time to time, And you gota give him credit for some of the stuf he did. His crazy antics always managed to make me laugh.

R.I.P. Steve...

I just heard about it a couple minutes ago, it’s already all over the net even his wikipedia page.

Anyone who has seen his show has probably thought to themselves at some point that he’s going to get himself killed one day, but when it finally did happen I found it abit hard to believe.

If anyone wants to confirm anything for themselves here are some articles on it.

When you play with fire you will eventually get burnt. At least he can't harass any more wildlife.

And yes that is a rather heartless way to look at it.

I feel badly for his family. Also, he may have harrassed innocent animals, but he also saved them. He was the only one stupid enough to do it. Poor Crocodile Hunter.

It's kind of freaky when a person dies, you just kind of think of all the things they had ever done, then what you might have been doing at that time. it's all over the school, he's got two kids, a girl that's 8 and a 3yr old son, i think.
it's really sad though, he was a real animal lover. i'm not a very big fan of him, but it was still sad.
earlier in the year i went to queensland (about 2ish weeks ago) and swam in the great barrier reef, i think that it was really pretty, but it's sad to see that even roses have thorns, it's really sad.

Unbelievable.

Truely terrible news. Find it very hard as I am so used to seeing him so much on the televison and I'm very fond of his work with animals. He will be missed.

Rest In Peace Steve Irwin.

I found this quite sad really. Despite making us Aussies look like complete idiots at every turn, he was doing allot of good research that was benefiting animals of all types all around the world... He really wasn't such a bad guy.

R.I.P. The Crocodile Hunter =[

HOLY SHIT!

dude, that man was like australias go to guy, he and i quite the article "put australia on the map i reackon!", dude hes like one of those figures that never dies, he was like what santa is to little kids, basically immortal.

damn, i feel kinda shocked, but Im glad he died doing what he loved rather then some drug addict or an alchoholic.

this world looses another hero, this was a hero for animal rights. may god forgive his sins and let him pass in to heavan because he sureley deserves it in my opinion, amen.

I am almost in tears when i heard the news. I always tought of him of like some kind of imortal dude who will never be harmed by animals. But the hack, a sting ray killed him. Its really sad actually.

After all that he has done of the animal world people should at least give him a bit more tought of what he has done. I really look up to him. Crocadile hunter has always been one of my favourite show and the trade mark saying "Cryky mate!! Ain't she a beeaudy."

Still his death came as a total disbelief to me. Is hard to imagine the crocodile hunter now dead. I don't think the woeld will forget him anytime soon.

I didn't believe it when my friend told me he died. Then I checked it out and then found out it was authentic. A sad, sad loss I believe. Though his methods can get pretty insane and stuff, but he did get people to watch his shows about animals and the preservation of them.

He probably achieved his purpose in life and I'm sure he's accomplished whatever he had to do in his life. He brought laughter into this guy and some interesting information to boot. At least he died doing what he loves.

O_O he died? That guy was amazing and so was his show. How did he die to a sting ray. I always thought of Steve dying to like a vicous creature something like a komodo dragon.
I could call my self a fan of his work, I've watched a couple of his documentaries and not all were as interesting as the sharks one.
Some of his shows were funny to because i had no idea what he was saying sometimes. But i guess it was just his time, he did everything most people couldnt do and that was explore nature to its most dangerous heights.

R.I.P Steve
