Originally, this was a funny subject, I did not wanted to create nothing new, I dunno what I was doing, but funnily enough, I was not exactly inspired but made this.

The theme was really spooky I guess, the walls of a dark place, locked in a place unseen, woman holding dead lover in embrace of death, and in damnation love took place between two unlikely persons.

The wall itself was a new skin, it is up now on my page, I love it...
I felt it could be a darker side of me willing to work this out, it was really simple I guess, took around 4 days, dunno what to do with it and decided to just fiddle with PS until I got the right tones, there was a generated sample of 8 pieces, being indecisive me... I guess I just took the most obvious and most lovable one.

The textures are all pieces from variable packages by Resurgere, I took pieces out from a lot of them, and mangled them all into unholy trinity. And thus, this really dark piece, excellent for the Emo you and me.

Man that heart is spooky on the first link, what is even more spooky is that it is real and not 3D generated.
About the wall, this looks like it could have been from the death note anime, as a matter a fact it looks just like it, but not from the anime but from the death note movie (yes they made a movie). I like the skull and the shadows, nice job +fav *clicks the imaginary add to fav button*

Since you asked me to comment, then i would. although personally, i find it too creepy much like gat had said and i'm NOT a fan of macabere art. >___>, but i think if you place this in deviantART, it might have a go at it...

hmm, I'm glad you actually took time to credit Resurgere. I mean, THEY HAVE THE BEST STOCK PHOTOS THERE IS, although even at that, I don't use their stuff since after reading their terms of service, it kinda put me off with the restrictions and all that. Nevertheless, the effects of the Resurgere team is top notch and pretty much reflects [in terms of quality] the wall. However, I'm not going to comment on the theme of the wallpaper. As much as the quality of this wallpaper is pretty top-notch, its no different from the many artworks there is in deviantART falling on the same category. And since death is not my thing so, =/

Jezuz chirst that's freaky. everything leads me to feeling of insanity. cool i like it. However i find that the top left corner throws me off a little, it just doesn't seem to go too well with all the other parts of the bg. i think sharpening and more grain is needed. otherwise it's just plain creepy. in a good way XD

This wall is simply rocks my boxers. I'm not into emo-kinda stuff but I know an awesome stuff when I see it. This is truly a DA-kinda wall.

Thanks, I love it myself, I choose to keep it rather more darkly rather than using grains or some other textures, it cuts down the whole feeling of spookiness

Hmm macabre aint really my style also but this wall looks qwuite awesome.
There is not much i can add to this, only maybe you could try to add another skull ore something in the black area above the tekst and make that like -almost-almost-almost-visible, like only when you look really closely you see it ore sompt.
Besides that dont know wich other points to imrpove. Good luck

Mahahaha, you know I like these kinda walls. I find them funny rather than spooky. Skulls... And Zip Ties or whatever you call them... Cool. The only thing is that the texturing on the bottom and parts of the sides gets kinda random and I wished you sticked with the really dirty cement basement wall look...

Lol I see a lot of people saying that this ain't their sorta style xD But I looove this kind of style, it's really awesome and spooky enough ^^ Love the fact that you can see the person's body clearly but the head is sorta like a skeleton o.o This wallpaper really made my day =3

Sorta makes me want to read Hamlet again. The BG sort of has the whole Greek version of Hades look to it, and the zip ties give it a modern twist that adds a whole new layer of pain to it. I have to agree with Beckor on the addition of some twisted human forms or a skull (subtly) in the business to the left 2/3. It would help to draw the eye to both thirds of the frame. My eye was naturally drawn to the skull and the other skull in the head of the person. The textures are very well done, and the after image on the head keeps it from being too "romantic"
I also like the way you've begun totally blending the text so that it looks like the text is "materializing" from the background. that keeps the text interesting without freaking you out.
True complaints? None to speak of. Your artistic idea is well defined. Nice work, sir!

Wow. I really love this. the colors are perfect. The textures you used are really neat. I like the 'death' theme of the wall. Yay for skulls. The only thing that bothers me is the top left corner like dadong said. Other than that I see nothing wrong with it. Now wheres my cookies and milk?! xD

Awesome Depth and composition! I really like the scary/tense feel that this wall is giving off. The colors are alright and set the mood, washed-out. I'm glad you didn't overload this wall with abunch of filters or anything like that because it looks great.

Wow, now that is one spooky wall. It looks like a crazed female holding a skull, which I don't know why she would do that anyway. Really the 3D rendering job you did, especially a what you did on the side of her face was really cool. Well, this is sure is a good wall too, but I hate to be with her in a cell.

I'm not really into non-anime work, but i see that this one is indeed something great. looking at it without zooming in, it kinda looked like hitman to me (yes, the pc game... and i think my eyes are bad)

a scary wallpaper, but i actually notice more sadness here. it kinda like shows someone mourning for her dead loved one... but nah... that's just about what i can say...


as for the aesthetic aspect, it looks nice. the main character in the wall fits perfectly in the background, though i suggest you do some moe filtering on the fingers and shoulder baldes since it was kinda a bit off... and that you could've placed something else on her face instead of an open-mouthed skull (just don't have anything specific for that at the moment).
