Just started watching Bleach, but...

It was midnight, and i had a flight to catch that i had to wake up for at 4 a.m., but adult swim was having some kind of a bleach marathon, 4 episodes in a row.
So i watched it, and enjoyed it. I mean obviously not the greatest, it didn't blow me away, but so far i like the characters and storyline.
anyway, i started talking to my cousin about it, and she reads the manga, and thinks its alot better. is that a pretty general concensus? i've never really read any mangas before, besides the one that came with the eureka seven box, but that was kind of pointless as i'd already seen it...well not worthless, the art was pretty amazing and it was cool to see how they took so much out.
i could certainly do without some of the voice acting, so should i check out the mangas?

I follow its anime but I'm not really up-to-date for it. I prefer its manga bcuz it's much better than its anime. It seems like the spoilers are starting so that's why I choose its manga. But so far, the anime isn't bad though =)

I've watched all the anime episodes that are out and read all the manga chapters too I think the manga is way much better than the anime. But the anime isn't bad at all.
I enjoy both watching the anime and reading the manga ( Bleach is my favorite series XD ).
I think that if you liked what you saw until now you should continue watching and read the manga too so you can see the differences yourself...
I truly recommend you to read the manga.

Sou sou... read manga. It's good.
If you've heard about fillers and such, let me cut short on your search. So far, the anime follows the manga up to ep 63/64. After that, its the "filler arc" which i personally dont think its as bad as people say.

I think you should stick with the anime. First of all chances are the stuff you watched was still from earlier on in the series, which by the way wasn't that great (referring to eps 1-23). But the series really picks up. Besides I always find watching is more entertaining than reading and looking at non moving images.

The filler are the episodes 64-108/109(somewhere around there), episodes which don't follow the story of the manga, meaning that what happens in this episodes is not in the manga, but it doesn't actually affect the original story. It's some sort of side story...

I think bleach the anime was pretty good. Now that it will start picking up from the manga again, it'll be better. The bound arc was alright =/ wasn't really that good. Manga is good too, jsut depends what you are into.^^

Exactly the same...Bleach is my favourite manga and one of my favourite animes... but I also recommend you to read the manga... it's reaaaally good!
I think Bleach is a great anime to watch. The manga is great as well. But the anime is better because you can actually watch the fight scenes in action, and hear the character's voices. But i prefer the manga's art over the anime's. But they are both great! I recommend both! ^__^

A veces veiamos Bleach hasta muy entrada la noche...no podiamos dejar de verlo...y me dormia impaciente por ve que pasaba en el siguiente capitulo...y luego otravez tenia que volver a verlo y no tener el deseo de apagarlo.
Adult swim will only be airing up to ep25, the storyline of bleach was decent to begin with, but it didn't blow me away until a couple eps after that, the current manga arc is infinitely better than the bount arc, but then again, the only reason for fillers is basically to allow the manga story to get farther, as to the question of if the manga is better, well of course it's better, it's the original.

I really like the Anime, since this is the first series that got me re-hooked on anime. Actually i like the japanese version better than the english version. After watching all the fan-subbed episodes to date (110 episodes in fact). I finally decided to get the manga. And yes the anime does leave a few pages out from the manga, but they're real minor in my opinion (sometimes the anime would do an alternate telling of the same story of the manga mainly because of the time constraints i guess). All in all i still like the anime. :)
Some things cant be read, like the seiyu (voice actors) for bleach. Especially Rukia (jap version of course)

I started watching bleach and I've got to say its one bloody anime but still the story is also nice but I just hate it since it has also filler episodes from episodes 63 to 108 at least now they started to follow the manga again just like what happened to naruto hope that things would be better
