about mangas
Do you prefer manga than anime? i think animeis much better..how about you?
and also..do you like reading long manga stories?
and also..do you like reading long manga stories?
Yup. If the manga came first I always like it better than the anime (Except for Sc-ry-ed and FLCL. Their manga and animes were very diffrent.)
I prefer long running series since you can get more attatched to the charactors that way. It also give the auther a chance to tell the story without needing to rush. Some do go on too long though (Death note should have ended WAY before it did...Same with GTO)

Well... we can't say that manga are always better than anime, that's true only with the manga that have been adaptated to anime, but there is anime (not some adaptation) that are better than some manga.
but for the adaptated series, the manga is always better than the anime.
so for me, generally manga are better than anime

A manga is way better than an anime, well the most of the time
i think that the art of a manga and its story are better than in an anime, mhh my expiriences tell that, for example love hina everyone i shoed the anime told me that it was gread but after i showed the mange theit eyes fall out of their head and they said that the manga was way better then in all facts
but i think that some people just don´t like to read (nothing against you) and so they prefer the animes

Manga is generally better than anime. anime has time constraints and a budget so it usually doesn't meet my expectations. and anime has fillers.
Depends on series. Sometimes manga is better than anime, sometimes it isn't. For example, Ah! My Goddess! manga is better than anime while Mai-HiME anime is much better than manga. So in general I equally love both anime and manga.

I depends, I like the anime as an animated manga but it's alot easier to find parts in manga that the anime

I think the most animes on base of manga are not as good as their manga.
The best animes are non-manga-based animes, like anime movies or pure anime series without a manga.
But there are anime series too, who are better than the manga.
(I'm sorry for my bad english =___=)

Normally, I prefer the original version.
If manga was first, I prefer manga and if anime was first I prefer anime. But I always prefer read a manga that watch an anime.

Manga has its perks; the reader has a more intimate relationship with the creators, through silly comments, and personal logs that can be found in many manga.
Shinichiro Watanabe, however, does not do manga. Anime remains my favourite.

I think mangas are almost always better than the anime made after it! The story of the manga is usually more complete, with more details and more characters.
The anime sometimes contains fillers that are VERY annoying and sometimes the story of the anime is not the same as in the manga.
But I saw an anime that was better than the manga, but I can't remember which was it...
So, i would ALWAYS choose the manga over the anime. ;)

I like both manga and anime!! there's some good and bad points about manga and anime!! like sometimes the stories are much more better in the manga then in the anime!! but then anime is more "lively" i guess!! you can hear the sounds and stuff!! haha!! wonder if i'm making any sense!! but yea... i like both!! ^^
I definitely prefer manga over anime. (Although, I'd like to see the reactions this question gets in the Anime sub-forum. haha.) I own over 450 volumes of manga, but only about 30 DVDs of anime. Manga are cheaper, easier to carry around, and usually have a much better version of the story and art. There are some anime that are equal to the manga, such as Berserk, Saikano, Fruits Basket. But for the most part, the anime tends to butcher the original story, like in Sailor Moon, X, etc. However, as a general rule, I try to read or watch whichever came first. There are also some manga based on anime that are just as good as the anime (Utena, Pretear). But there are just as many manga series without anime counterparts, as there are anime without manga counterparts. So both have their advantages.
Also, to answer your second question, I personally prefer shorter series. There are a few long ones I do enjoy, but as a rule, I try not to read anything over 20 volumes. I just can't put that much money into a series. Manga is too expensive for that. I'd rather read more stories for the same amount of many than read one that might not be as good.
