This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Jobs - My Next Move

I've worked at two jobs now. One was at Knowfat and one was at the Regal Fenway 13 movie theater. I made the huge mistake of losing these jobs and now I wonder what next move should be if I ever hope to get another job.

Knowfat: My friend got into a fight with this guy and he told them I wasn't going to be able to work today, so he dragged me into not showing up. I thought it was cool since he talked them out of it, but I didn't call out so they wrote that one down... I had planned to go to my next shift but since I was sleeping over his place, I had let him influence me into not showing up for the next shift... but I wanted to go, except we ended up 4 hours late and they had me fired for a no call no show.

Regal Movies: I wanted to change my availibility because I do not like working 9 hours a day. But I wasn't able to so I was scheduled 230PM-11PM, I felt anxious and I also didn't want to see some of the employees there either. I was getting an interview from Subway too, but I wasn't sure if I could get in. He says I had a good chance, and so I gambled and decided not show up. Mind you, if he didn't call me to hang out, or rather if I didn't decide to hang out with him, I would have gone to work. And Saturday, I did not feel like recieving the lashing of words from my managers so I could not bare to show my face there, even though I wanted to... two days, no call no show, I'm pretty sure I've got the job abandonment record for that place now. I've worked for six months.

So that means both jobs have bad records now, because I was influnced by my friend to not show up. Because I'm naive and did not think this carefully... and now my future jobs may be at stake...

So my friends... I ask for one advice. Should I put these jobs down on my next application or not? I really want to get a new job, but writing down I've never been employed might jepordize me... but putting any one of these down will also hurt my chances too. What should I do?

If you manage to get ANY job that is fairly professional, they will run a background check and they will see your previous jobs. I applied for one job that was paying 10$ an hour and was sort of a desk job and they ran a background check on me. Regardless of what job experience I put on my application, they would know. With that said, if you don't list them, a red flag will go up. If you list them, a red flag will go up. If you don't list them at all and they don't do a background check you suffer a chance of not getting the job.

My advice is that you should probably list them and at least be given the chance to explain what happened or bullshit your way out of the questions. If those firing happened a while ago, you might have a way to explain how you matured.

And my personal opinion is that you really fucked up. When I was like 13 I knew not to get fired from any job I took because it was important for future employment. Furthermore, if you didn't like your fellow employees, FILE YOUR 2 WEEK NOTICE. I didn't like my job at a supermarket so I quickly filed for my 2 week notice. Luckily the manager said I could leave that day (he hated the fact that I wanted to work only 20 hours rather than the 40 he gave me [I was a soph in college at the time] ). What's worse is that you basically did the same thing that got you fired, TWICE. Sorry, but I can't help be a little aggravated by your actions, your ability to give in to your friend constantly, and your total disregard for your future employment.

I certainly don't mind such posts. I've always hated the restrictions that the mods have put on these forums regarding the type of posts that are allowed. Something tells me that if these forums weren't setup for spam, that such restrictions would not be needed. And yes, the way the paper system is set up encourages people to spam. So many no avatar 1-10 post wonders here :(.

Such a shame that such posts are not allowed. There's so many people who can learn from the stupid acts of this author.

Yes true, however, alot of people only post here in order to be allowed to download more wallpapers, which in turn makes it alot easier for people to stam and avoid even reading the replies of other people x.x

Which is why opinion threads are really not encouraged here (or personal ones)

Go to college, and if you already have, I'd suggest staying out fo trouble, I mean my goodness, just take the lashing for a somewhat good record, insead of the words, "Abandoned Job! Do not hire" on your profile... >.<

Hmm...decide on what you're good at and work from there. Tons of opportunities have led me to where I am now. I knew I was great with children so I was going to become a teacher. Since I also play music, I wanted to be a music teacher. While student teaching music to special needs classes, I decided to do special education. While going to college for special education I found a job doing ABA therapy for autistic kids. I liked that so much I changed majors to do Occupational therapy because I saw what a difference it would make. I'm still going to college for that, but I have a wonderful job being a PCA for disabled children. It helps me gain experience and doing what I enjoy.

So all I can say is, just go for what you're good at or something you enjoy. You never know what opportunities will open up!

Did you even read his post? He's asking if he should put his past job experience on his resume to get similar jobs, yet you are giving him advice that a college student without a major would need.

All I said was you never know what opportunities you have if you go for something. Everything happens for a reason. This could be an opportunity to do something else.

How does that actually help him decide what to put on his resume?

I suggest you don't put down jobs that got rid of you for failure to show up.
It sucks, but its better to start off square one than have those on your resume.
Just be sure to fight for something more than base pay.

This is what I did i worked part time at a my Grocery store for 4 months then I went to apply at the job I wanted in the first place. Its best to have some experience start small again then build your way up.
