Obviously it's Garnet from the PlayStation game Final Fantasy IX. A very well known Image, I think. Actually it's still the original-background. But I changed the colours a bit. And what is the most important, I added these notes to it. They are the real notes of Song of Memory by Nobuo Uematsu. Of course I will link to the source, if this wall really comes to the gallery. ^^
Over Garnet are some filters and I cut her out and in again, so I could make her look a bit paper-ish.

As I said, it's my first wallpaper and of course my first I want to upload here. Maybe there are some details, why it just won't pass through. So I ask here for your opinion. ^^

Just played a bit with brushes I am totally in love with. *-*
This thing on the upper left, with the chained heart on it, shall be her memories.
Because of the beautiful brush I added on the top left, I edited the scripture's effects.

Those piano notes could use better extraction. It looks as though you used the Magic Wand tool to remove the white background from the music notes. Remove the white border from Garnet so that she could blend better with the background. Also, we don't accept scan-to-wall wallpapers so I suggest you extract her out and find another suitable background for her. Perhaps, a sunrise sky since she has so much light on her face. Also, remove the grain from her face too.

So in short:
1) Extract the music notes better.
2) Extract Garnet out from the background (remove the white borders)
3) Find a suitable background stock, such as a sunrise sky
4) Remove the grain

If possible, try finding a better stock for those music notes and make them flow up and down like music. Vector them or re-draw them.

You can extract better if you use the Polygonal tool and take away the background bit by bit. Zooming in at 500% helps the precision too. It takes longer but it looks a lot smoother than using the Magic Wand tool. Stay away from the Magic Wand, it makes the edges look jagged if you use it to extract.

I'll add more once I see the second version.

1) The notes already are from a .gif with transparent background. I don't know another source than Final Fantasy Symphony. If someone should know a better one, please message me.
Actually I wanted them to look "old". Not soft or smooth.

2+4) Actually it's supposed to be that way, because I want her to look apart from the world (background). Like cut or torn off the background. The grain and extreme lightning should intensify her unreal look.

3) Hh... my own photographies aren't that beautiful and colourful as this background. But maybe I shot some more, especially for the background. xD

I hope, I got it right, with the Polygonal Tool, because I'm German and using a German PS. In any case, thank you very much. ^^

The music notes look jagged instead of old. If you want the old and torn look, you can find music note stocks in that site above as well as other stock.

I understand your concept now, but the white border doesn't really give off a feeling of detachment. There are other ways, but my mind is totally blank right now.
