This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I know that there are thousands of people on this website who live all over the world. With that comes your languages and different customs and weather. I thought it would be kind of cool to share these with everyone here. I personally would like to learn some Japanese. I speak English and celabrate Holidays such as Halloween, 4th of July, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving. Please share your culture with everyone here. :)

I speak spanish! is my first lenguage. And english is the only forgein lenguage i know. In my country instead of celebrating Hallowing we cerebrate "el dia de los muertos", the dead day i think would be the translation, we don't celebrate thanksgiving, and our independence day is in september 15th. We have a lot of holidays, here is a link if anyone is interested.

I'm also an American. My first language is English but I also speak German, Italian, and Spanish. I have friends from a lot of different cultures because of where I live and I've gotten to celebrate different holidays with them but we all tend to celebrate the same main Holidays as the rest of the country. We have certain traditions in my family for each holiday but I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing, more a family thing.

Hm.. im from Taiwan so i speak mandarin, but for the cultures i don't know much about it since i spent almost my entire life in Canada but what i do know is that my family celebrates Chinese new years which follows the lunar calendar, we would always have hot pot on that night (hot pot, hot boiling water with raw food at the side and you cook what you want to eat) and after that we would play mahjong. Mahjong isn't anywhere like the ones you play on the internet, in Taiwan it is illegal to play it anytime other then the Chinese new year, but of course you can play it privately ^.- the only thing i can tell you about the real version of mahjong and while spare you from the long paragraphs is that it is some what like dominos..

I speak English and French. As far as holidays go I would have to say that the only I celebrate that is different from other countries is Sait-Jean Baptiste day wich is the official holiday of Québec.

I'm an Asian American, and I currently know English and Vietnamese -- I used to know Chinese too but ever since my dad divorced with my mom some many years back, I totally forgot the language. :( Right now I'm currently learning Spanish and Japanese, so that totals to attempting to know 4 languages. I think that's not bad if I managed to speak all 4 half-decently. :P I really have a lot of fun learning new languages, I dunno why, heh.

I also "celebrate" just about every holiday on the calendar as an excuse to be lazy or miss school or work or something like that, I am really horrid, aren't I?

I speak spanish and english. I'm interested in german, french, and Japanese. I have a lot of latin vocabulary as well as ancient greek but I cannot make coplex sentences.

I would like to know if there is anybody here who can speak esperanto or who knows anybody who can speak it since I'm really interested in that one.

I'm American. I'm learning Spanish, and I can speak a few sentences. We celebrate most holidays. The only one that some people don't would be Mardi Gras. We don't live in Louisiana, but my parents come from there, so we either buy a King Cake or our relatives there send us one. We also buy a bunch of Mardi Gras beads, and go to any celebrations if they have them around here.

I'm asian american; my first language is spanish, I learned english, I know how to write and read in korean (had to learned by myself, since there were no schools were i lived), I also learned by myself some basic japanese and some kanjis, but that's about it. I plan to learn more about these two languages and maybe add another one.

I don't celebrate holidays, maybe as a get-together but that's all.

I'm asian american. mandarin was my first language and ever since going to school in US, my chinese has become worse. i would say i'm 75% fluent. i can understand the best, talk, write, and read. the thing is... my reading is worst. i can read a lot of chinese but i don't really understand what's its saying. For example, it's just like vocabulary. You can almost always pronounce vocabulary words, but you don't necessarily know what it means. great example eh?? but yeah. i speak good english but i hate grammar so i think i kinda suck at writing. i have learned 5 yrs of spanish, which i forgot quickly. hahah.. but i'm interested in learning maybe cantonese or japanese.

my family celebrates both american holidays and chinese ones. woot
