As you can see this anime is all based cards....hehehehe....i like tis anime dude....hehehehe....when i finish watching this anime....i automatically bought card.....hehehehe....i paly with it together with my brother....hehehehe...all the monster here is so COOL!....i love tose monster very much....hehehehe....my favorite character there is kaiba and the monster i like is dark magician and red eyes black dragon....hehehe...cool...

YU-GI-OH! is the only anime with cards (nowadays almost all series have a series of role playing cards) that i still like ^^. Although i haven't watched not even 25% of the anime XD but i just fell in love with all those hot guys ^^ I'm kinda annoyed with some girls (Tea, May, grrrr... XD). The story is interesting, and the drawing is really cool and yet simple ^^.

My favourite card is, for the image, Dark Magician Girl; to play all those powerfull cards that have a less amount of stars XD, because they are more easy to summon.

i've watched some of it, but it's just not my type of anime. what makes me wonder is: how does a little kid can withstand a big up-side-down pyramid attached onto a big chain? also, notice how Yu-Gi-Oh cards never outbeated Pokemon cards?

How can you like Yu-gi-oh if you are over the age of 8? I can understand if you are a little kid, but if you have a mind, you can tell that the entire point of this "anime" (more like a crappy POS cartoon) is to sell the dumb card game and make more $$$. The art "style" is absolutely horrible, the "story" is juvenile, and there's a damn card game involved with it. THE CARD GAME IS IN THE SHOW. I'd also like to comment on the cards: they're made in a smaller, non-standardised format, which entrailed other companies to have to make custom card slips/boxes, and they probably had to pay the makers of the game to produce them. As well, the cards are so badly made... they wear extremely easily and have an irritating back. The game itself is also strangely irritating in my (right) opinion. From what I have seen, the game is pretty much predetermined by who has the better/more expensive cards. Speaking of expensive cards, these are the worst. I often find them in packs of 7 or w/e for 10-12 canadian bucks. Compare that to even MTG (which ain't exactly cheap) which sells in packs of 15 for $4.50 (tax included). I'm not even gonna compare the two games any further than that.

Ok conclusion/summary of the truth: The anime sucks and is intended exclusively to promote the shitty overpriced card game destined for 7-year olds with rich parents.

And I'm right - face it :P

Tirentu: hahahaha! XD I think you are right about the show made to promote their cards. I think Magic The Gathering is THE role playing game card, although about the cards being pricey i find them all damn expensive, whatever they are (of course i don't like playing card games, so maybe that's just me ^^). 5 bucks for a frigging little plastic envelope with cards?? >_< (i also count the taxes, 'cause i'll never see them again)

About the story i have to disagree, i actually like it, but hey, let's face it, i only like it because of all the guys around there XD and whether you like the art style it depends on each person, for example i LOVE the art in the manga Black Jack, but i showed it to some friends and they can't even read because of the style; so, if you don't like the art of YU-GI-OH! be my guest XD

I really dont like this series because its is just a commercial series without a proper story just to atrract kids to buy these playing cards. i cant understand why there is such a hype about that?

Yea...it is to get the kids hookedon cards...but i thought the concept was cool. i cried in the last episode, when yami had to leave =[ but yeah, the new series doesn't look too good. maybe i'm wrong, but the concept of a single angelic koribo that pwns everyone seems kinda cheesy.

ALL frigging dubbed YU-GI-OH! is cheesy ^^U. I mean, "the heart of cards" "friendship wins above all" "together we can do anything" are some of the annoying mottos >_<. Only thing i can say is that i loved the south american version. But the english one... bleh. >_<

Yes. It's weird when some game cards played by children, can somehow have the powers to take over the world.
But any ways, you are talking to a yugioh fanatic. Me..like..yugioh DUH! But..hates..dubbed..version, need i say why? Because all dubbed anime sucks! My fave character...the pharoh DA DA!

I have a Yu-Gi-Oh pillowcase that I still use. I dunno. I think it's okay, but not the American version. That's horrible. But I did enjoy the first episode of GX that I have.

With this series, I think the manga is better. It doesn't or didn't (I'm not very versed in YGO anymore) in other games than the card one. I remember one chapter where Anzu (Tea) made Yugi go on a date with her, and faked putting herself into danger to bring out Yami, who she had a crush on. She ended up actually being in danger cause a terrorist put a bomb on a Ferris Wheel and the only way to get him to disarm the bomb was to win a game of clock solitare. Obviously (Yami) Yugi wins, but I just thought it was interesting, and I actually played clock solitare after. **geek out**

Anyways, I have no problem with anyone who likes the anime/manga/game. If I had the money, I probably would have bought a deck and played. ^v^.

and Jounouichi (Joey) is hot. LOL. And his English name is the same as the Fire Planeteer, Joey Wheeler!

Yu-Gi-Oh is a very nice anime in my eyes, I only some weeks ago finished watching ALL the episodes to the end. (I kept missing on a few, and still needed to see how the series ended)
The duel between Yu-Gi and Kaiba on the Kaiba Corp tower was simply AWSOME, is not a spoiler I think we all knew it would come to that :P
My favorite character I think is probably Joey, he damn cute, but I think I choose him because overall he is always the underdog in the series witch manages to pull through, and it was because of him that Yu-Gi won alot of duels :)

I also like yugioh too, i play the card game and so does my friends, its really fun to play
