J Rock
I'm new to J Rock and was wondering who here is in love with it too? The band that got me started was Dir en Grey and then I heard Hyde (pronounced hai-do). I was watching IMF (international music feed) and they played these guys and I've been watching like crazy now to see them play more, but alas, they haven't! They've been playing Puffy AmiYumi. They do the theme song for Teen Titans and they have a cartoon on CartoonNetwork, HiHi Puffy AmiYumi. Their singing is all right too! So, let me know what you guys think!
The only J-Rock band I listen to is "Alice Nine". I must say they are pretty good and am getting into it quite a bit.
I have heard about Gazette, Dir en gray, and Kagrra. Though I haven't heard any of their songs as of yet.

J rock isn't really interesting
There's a band, called HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, and I think they're really good. Some say they are like a Japanese Linkin Park, but IMO they're better. They have released two albums and the girl who sings in the group is really talented and cute.
If it's not that interesting, why are ya in here? Like my mother used to say..."if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."J rock isn't really interesting
I ordered Withering to Death (DeG) and Faith the other day. I'm waiting anxiously to get them (rolls up sleeping bag beside mailbox...) I've had the hardest time finding any J Rock around here. But I did find a useful website that carries all sorts of music and music merch. www.artistdirect.com I've ordered a million cd's from them and I'm pretty happy with the way they run things. If there's an artist you can't seem to find, chances are, they have it!

I used to like j-rock a lot, but recently I've been finding it bland. I still enjoy a few bands like Malice Mizer, Déspairs Ray, Merry, and FAKE? though.
I really really liked Dir en Grey a few years ago (Gauze-Macabre-Kisou era). Recent albums have left me.. meh. there's a few song I love ("Red...[EM]" & "The Final" mostly) but I still prefer their earlier stuff.
My jrock/jpop (he's borderline) love is hide. He was guitarist in X Japan and had a few albums solo. Look him up, tell me how you like him.
Other then that I loved Phobia (now disbanded), I like some Kaggra songs but not for extensive periods of time. Some Malice Mizer is really good.. However I'm mostly out of touch with the current scene...

I really like the Beat Crusaders, they're pop/rock, but they just make great music. The Band Apart is great too, they're a lot like Beat Crusaders but they're an indie band and it's hard to find their music.
Well, I finally got my 2 cd's. I love them! I got HYDE's Faith...It's amazing! His voice is the sexiest thing I have ever heard. I also go Dir en grey's Withering to death...and I love it too! It's a lot heavier than the stuff I'm used to, but I'm getting used to it. I can't wait to get other cd's from them just so I can listen to the earlier things. But I'm totally in love! The lyrics from Withering to death are so deep. I remember a part speaking of "the little girl in the red coat"...do any of you know if that was refereing to the the little girl with the red coat in Schindler's List? I believe so, but I'd like to see what you guys think!
I just became a HandMC fan, after hearing Pride and Ichirin no Hana. Found a few downloads in the music dump section of AP and man I like that band! Dyzio already said it, if they are the Japanese LP, they're better.
High and Mighty Color =P

Dir en Grey is what got me into J-Rock. Hyde is okay, not my favourite. X Japan and Malice Mizer have my heart as well lmao. Might try downloading HandMC though, sounds interesting.

I have to secound the beat crusaders they are a very nice band, they have english songs out too, a good song are "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight" a bleach opening. I'm surprised no one has said Asian kung fu generation! There my my favorite J-rock group I think one of my favorite songs are "Rewrite" fullmetal alchemist opening 4.
AJIKAN FOREVA!!! [note: Ajikan is Asian Kung-Fu Generation's nickname]
Plastic Tree. Heh. But of course, that's already obvious from my username
HaMC is def. on my list, as is The Pillows [their work for FLCL was priceless].
I know most of my Jrock stuff from animes that use Jrock songs in their openings... with the exception of PuraTuri, but they've always been the exception

I looove Jrock
My favourites are Gackt, Malice Mizer (disbanded T^T), Moi Dix Mois, X-Japan, Pierrot (tho I heard they're gonna be disbanded... or they've already done so X.x), Dir En Grey, Hyde/Laruku, HIGH AND MIGHTY COLOR, Kra and many more. I think their music is pretty unique... tho some of them should be gothic rock instead of Jrock xD (Like Malice Mizer and Moi this Mois).
