What got you interested in manga?
For me I looove reading. And when i found out about graphic novels i just got hooked. Cause its like a picture book but waaaay better. And there are so many different kinds to pick from! They are kinda like comic books (but i dont like them alot) but aren't. I mean how cool is that? But manga is just totally different. Its like a whole new world for me. What about you?

For me it was my friend. She brought one to school. I forgot which one it was though. I think is was CCS. CCS showed in america already so when I saw the manga I thought that it was also pretty good. So I went to a bookstore and saw a ton more and thats how I got started in manga. And then came anime. but thats off topic.
I first got addicted to reading manga when i was an exchange student in japan and my friend lindsey showed me some of her manga. i had been watching the full meal alcheist anime in america so then the next day i ended up buying the first 11 full metal alchemist books. they took forever to read with my pittiful knowledge of japanese. but i've been buying manga ever since.
This may date me a bit, but I got into manga when Tokyopop (then "Mixx") brought out the manga for Sailor Moon. I was so, so excited that they were doing that.
Now I wish that all of Rose of Versailles would be brought over! Technically it was one of the first translated manga--Fredrick Schodt translated two volumes to help Japanese speakers learn English.
I can keep hoping, I suppose.

Basically anime got me interested in manga. I wanted to see if the anime followed the anime or did it go off on some strange tangent. I found that some animes follow the manga exactly and others just seem to have the same name.

Of the sort of drawing and the plot of history
Actually, the thing that got me addicted to reading manga, is because I love to download stuff from the net. LOL. So after downloading some manga scanlations and reading them, I got hooked for more. And now, im into reading manga.
And luckily, a bookstore here in our country had a sale. Tokyo Pop manga were sold for just 75 pesos! That's just less than 2 dollars! Too bad though that, that very low price is just for one branch. I went to another branch of that bookstore and they are only offering 20% discount.

Uhm..I have read manga for 5 years.Before,I like mangas have beautiful ,cute line of drawing...usually talk about sentiment..with mild plot. as Sojo manga...but now I think the most important thing make manga become famous isits plot.Ex:Naruto..uhm..One of the best mangas .its drawing isn't special,no beauty...But its tenor is so great...attractive>__< all characters have verious special personalities...many Ninja..I enjoy reading HxH..

When I finish to the saga of poseidon in saint seiya sentia that lacks to something then comence to look for everywhere until finding that he continued single in the manga, to it went that me comenzo to interezar the manga.
I seriously don't remember.
I think it was back when I was like.. 12, and obsessed with InuYasha (yuck), and I made my mom get the mangas from the library.
So I read those.. I also used to like Peach Girl when I was like, 10, I always used to read it.
Those were my first two mangas xD; Such lame ones.
Then I went out one day and bought Gravitation after I watched the anime, then I just started to buy manga right and left. =o
