Harem Anime
To be honest i don't really even know where to start. Don't get me wrong harem animes are usually always entertaining but I always end up dissapointed in the end every time. Doesn't matter how the show ends even if I would have chosen the same girl which in my case I usually always end up liking someone other than the one our main char chooses. Like Love Hina I love the show but to me Naru just ugghhh I want to slap if I was Keitaro i would have chosen samurai chick Motoko (i think thats her name) but in that case its just me. I just started watching "Shuffle" and I find myself getting attached to a lot of the girls and i just know no matter who Rin chooses I'm going to be dissappointed but right now my front runners are Nerine and Asa-sempai. But even if he chooses one of those 2 i'm still going to be dissappointed because I like every girl in the series. I would have to say that out of all the harem anime i've watched he's got the hardest choice barring something crazy happening. I know that harem anime is supposed to make the viewer feel for both our lucky boy and the ladies but in the end even if the ending is what i wanted I can't get full enjoyment out of the series because i feel sorry for all the ones whose love was rejected. This happen to anyone else?

Well sometimes you feel that way. but what i like most of these shows is trying to choose one you like. watch till the end and see if the man makes the same choice? try watching Suzuka. Its nice. Hmmm, also try Ichigo 100%. the anime doesn't have an ending but the manga does! I chose the same girl! hehe...
I love those harem animes. There's nothing better out there then a good old fashion harem anime ^_^. Love Hina was great, and there was nothing wrong with Keitaro ending up with Naru. Naru was cool, she was smart and sexy. Ichigo 100% was another good harem anime. However the ending did suck. I don't want to give anything away, but Manaka should've picked a different girl...BAKA
Rather ironically, I don't have this trouble so much with Shonen LoveComi, although recently I have been disappointed by the way relationships ended up in Strawberry Panic. Poor Tamao-chan! She deserves so much happiness! How could Nagisa toss her aside like that! And Yaya-chan and Tsubomi-chan should definately get together since Hikari found Amane (or as my wife likes to say "a man, eh?"), they'd be a cute couple. *Smiles*

Well, I suppose the reason why Love Hina anime ended so... 'bleah' is because they want to lure the fans to READ the manga more! :D
But yeah, I still love LH nontheless, and Narusegawa too! ^^ (I'm a masochist, so I ~LOVE~ pain...)

Harem anime is pretty fun to watch. Although they mostly have the same plot and an expected ending, its still comedy and very hilarious. :D
Not for Shuffle, though. I am TOTALLY shocked in Shuffle! Shocked and mortified! I thought the 'child hood best friend' character was gonna win, as always, but noooooooo~! THE HOMEWRECKER WON! BoooooooOOO!!

The only thing I hate bout harem anime is it makes me think "damn that guy!! he gets all the hot chicks and choose ONLY ONE!! get the entire bunch why don't u!!"

I think that harem anime has it's place in the spectrum of anime land...the thing is that it's practically every anime that they release now...case in point the new October fall season has about more than 7 titles that has the harem aspect...mostly many girls with 1 boy...and it's getting really old. I'm not saying to eliminate it altogether, but at least do it properly and make the ending believable...I can't tell you how many times it's been frustrating to see the main guy be so darn wishy washy and just not choose anyone for fear that it hurts all the girls' feelings. Be A MAN...pick someone and let the poor girls find other dudes!
That's why I like the reverse harem aspect...many guys, 1 girl...ie, Host Club, Saiunkoku Monogatari, and if in desperate cases, Kyo Kara Maoh...cause Yuri acts more girly than most girls. ;p...the new season has only 1 title that fits the description and that's Nadeshiko or in this case Perfect Girl Evolution...goth/horror loving girl who has to be made into a lady by 4 bishonen boys...it's classic in that Pygmalian way.

Yup. All the time. I love the plot but I usually get disappointed by the ending. Shuffle! disappointed me the most. I prefer Rin with the other girls and not Asa-sempai. Nerine or Kaede would've made a better match, IMO.

I like the idea of Yaya being paired up with Tsubomi but I'm not in favor of Amane/Hikari pairing. Amane pissed me off for some reason lol Hikari should've picked Yaya over that 'guy'.

I think harem animes should be more like yumeria, where the main-chara isnt conna chose anyone, and everyone loves him together, i dont want to see broken hearts and selfishness as that.

You guys may be right...but the fact is that even though most anime's are now become more and more harem based...but the fact is that even though they are amine is supposed to be an entertainment...so just enjoy them and don't mind da cliches. I love every anime as long as it isn't too child based...because i love to laugh so i love harem anime..
