Suggestions for a Kurogane from Tsubasa (TRC) Wall
1 Page: [ 1 ]
It's been awhile since I've actually made a wallpaper. Anyhow, after colouring this from scratch (It was a full black and white image before) I was wondering if I could get some feedback about this before I submit it. I feel like something is missing (whether it's a texture or not) I was debating whether to keep the colouring flat or not, but after attempting to shade, I thought it would look somewhat odd because of the new style CLAMP is pulling off. Dull colours have been used rather than very vibrant ones since I wanted to try to put an old look but I still have a long way to go, here's what I have so far. I know some parts of the colouring has yet to be perfected so there's still some touch up areas needed to be done.
I'll upload both the 1600 x 1200 version here:

and the 1024 x 768 for those who want a faster loading image:

Any feedback for improvement would be nice. Thank you.

I think it is very nice :D but it just doesn't seems like a wall, if you make it more, hm.. sounds wierd but magical. like some sparkles on the sides or some wind that turns the pages, you know :P
good luck
good luck
I also think the same, although single it seems like an extraction from the sleeve (although she can that is it). good work. n_n v
I think you're on the way to a great wall. The wall seems a bit plain right now though... I'd like brighter colours personally, but if you want to keep the old look maybe try to do something with the background just so it doesn't blend right into the book.

It's cool *___* waaa Kurorin in his childhood... he was so cute (no, he is so cute x3)
It is going to be a great wall, I think you can add more layers with effects (just if you want ;D) the coloreated was very good but... really... more effects is a good idea ;DDD
Good job! ;D

I was thinking of potentially adding a wind effect so it'll add more emphasis to the page changing. I'll have to continue this wall after exams though. The biggest problem I'm having so far is a background colour.

... let me be the first to tell you I love you for such a wonderful wall... of Kurogane. *sobs*
Yes, he's my favorite character :D Anywho, I love how it looks now. (I'm assuming you've already edited it.) Kuro-puu rocks!!!

Oh. Well. I still love it. I like how it looks right now. *stares at Kuro-rin!*
Wow, that must have been a lot of work. The coloring is awesome - it's manga-style, smooth and excellently implemented with the original strokes. I can't tell that it was added on at all.
I guess the only thing that's missing would be, I can't really put my finger on it... but some... oomph. There IS focus in the wall, but maybe not enough. I'm not sure, but maybe it might work better if you the pages got dimmer near the back, more sorrowful..? I love the antiquated feel of the coloring, and I think it looks fine flat...
The vibrancy of the colors are sort of dimmer in the 2nd and 4th (from the right) pages anyway, so maybe the 3rd and 5th (especially the 3rd) could be a little more... brown as well? It might be interesting for it to get even browner or something like that..?
I love it pretty much as it is anyway, though. ^_^b Good job!

It's pop art style.
not bad.. but... don't look's like a wallp.
if you treat the images separated.. try to focus in one part of this big image.

I like though, a suggestion would be is that you highlight the current kurogane and make the past some-what dreamy. like adding stardust effect... you're on to a great wall :D keep it up =D
Aria-chan that is sooo genius~ I'll take up on that idea and when I fianlyl pull it off, maybe I'll be able to submit it here *laughs*
