COD4 is SO fun
Lol, both are really good. Single player mode deserves atleast one run though and multiplayer deserves atleast 5 hours or so to get the gist of it. Try all the weapons, some are surprisingly fun! LMG and Shotgun are two of my favorite classes, lol.

Online play at first is very frustrating especially when you are playing against high level opponents but if you stick with it and practice it become more and more fun. You need to stay hidden unlike the campaign mode, playing against real players is way more challenging and enjoyable. I highly recommend this game, well worth the cost. One annoying aspect of the online play is the chat option when you have players who rattle on without point and just don't shut up.
CoD4 is a pretty good game, but it gets old fast.
CoD4 is an awesome game. Many of you will laugh at this one but i love the online play of BF2. Old game, but definitely a classic and must have for FPS fans...in my mind
I dont have it (it makes me want to get a xbox 360 or a new comp) but my friend does so i come over and play Live, but since he don't play online for COD4, the file is basically my blood and tears.. haha yeah its so fun and intense haha. when i get an xbox, it will be the first game i get (ill put halo aside for just this once) i love COD games...

You can't say Halo takes no thinking to play because i have played the game competitively and it is alot to do with team work. Halo and COD4 are both good 
games and are fun just depends on what you feel like playing.

HALO 3 isn't good. CoD 4 on the other hand is the Game of the Freakin Year. Online play is very well done with the whole innovative perk and gunlocking / attachment unlocking system being very new and refreshing and the single player is great except for the no real closure ending. Definately a recommendation, for this is one of those FPSes that could get non-FPS players into the FPS genre.

Yeah, I totally agree. COD4 was fun for the first week that it was out. Then it got kind of... old? o.o
Its just way to easy in my opinion; after the first week of playing COD4, I was easily averaging 40+ kills in team death match... Not to mention the fact that aiming is useless.
An amazing game, I can honestly say a FPS shooter has never fascinated me so much. Not even Halo and I'm not including Half Life or Metroid Prime. It's just really well told and depicted through its visual, it actually feels like a proper war and it's that kind of tension that drags you in.
Though online play is a reaaaaaal bitch at first. But I'll get better damn it!

I think storylines in games like CoD4 blow some crappy, re-done for the n-th time storyline like in say Final Fantasy, and therefore need to be appreciated more. CoD4 doesn't get old because if you played the single player you'd probably enjoy it (excluding the very lack luster ending).

After playing this game online I am inclined to agree that this game has toppled Halo for the best online FPS. When you knife someone in the game that person cannot help but to take it personel.
