COD4 is SO fun
Yeah Ninja style is fun,
but sniping as well, or at least being unexpected when killing them ... but as a sniper you often have the problem, that you can't change places so well, because you're at a disadvantage with your sniper rifle on close-range.
You may also be overwhelmed from behind, when searching through the scope, in those cases I like the M18A1 'Claymore' pretty much ... you can rest assured, that no one will surprise you from behind if you set them up considerately.

Oh sniping you always go with the claymore, because then if they don't kill you opponents that are creeping in on you, you'll hear it go off and know they're near by.
I just bought this and I am waiting for this to come. Just so I have something online.
Seriously an awesome game.
until I got COD 4, I played counter-strike, and now the graphics and sound are AMAZING - it actually feels like a proper war and it's that kind of tension that drags you in.
The Mutliplayer is pretty fun, although sometimes i get frustrated when my teammates don't help out and bait me >.< - I'm currently ranked 47, close to 55, General.

What do you think of an own class featuring:
- SA vz. 61 'Skorpion'
-> silenced
- IMI Desert Eagle
- Flash Grenade 1x
- Extra Ammo / or / Claymore 2x
- Stopping Power / or / Double Tab
- Dead Silence
... and naming it "Ninja" or something like that

That's not ninja. Ninja = never on radar.
You'd need stopping power (double tap is crap unless it's single shot weapons like the G3) to become UAV Jammer.
Also the silenced Skorpion is crap, no range at all, you'd need something more.

The most I did on COD4 was fire M16 for a clip...pretty sad, I know.
It sucks not having friends who play shooters and would rather sing karaoke.
But I did watch some videos, and gosh, what a difference from previous COD series. Stunning.

A lot of snipers prefer the Barret .50, but I'll take the Dragonav for it's fire rate any day.
Coming back to the sniper rifles
I have to say, that I actually like the SVD Dragunov very much, but I don't like, that its recoil is so bad in COD 4.
If you try out shooting quite precisely at a target, but aim to have high rate of fire and you use once the Barret "Light Fifty" M82A1/M107 or on the other hand you take the Dragunov, then personally I noticed that you can reach nearly the same rate of fire (being still quite accurate) but if you watch the recoil the M82 hops up to the upper right side every time whereas the SVD jumps out to all directions.
That's what I don't like that much. I believe the SVD should be a little easier to control and the M82, considering its astonishing stopping power, needs to be remarkably stronger in recoil.
In saying that I don't mean wishing that it would be more difficult to control, but I'd like the SVD to be more gentle ^^
... and I think it should be as the SVD uses the 7.62x54R round and the Barret comes with the much bigger .50 BMG (12.7x99mm)

I think that the great thing about COD 4 is that even if you don't play it for a month you can come back and pick it up and play it and still own up.

idfand still own up.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm tubing on shipment.
Do you hate them, too? ... Those "Sandwich Situations"
I am sure everyone of you has experienced this more than once and you all know it.
As I did today maybe you also play Deathmatch sometimes and you just spotted one of your enemies, trying to shoot him but you get killed from behind.
Or you run into a house and and enter the first floor, having to retreat immediately because one opponent is already waiting for you, however when trying to get back down you bump into the next man who kills you.
It's nothing special, really, but it sums up and if your stats become something like zero kills, six deaths right after the beginning you might think "Are they kidding me?"
Especially on "Crossfire" it was extremely awful today, I mean there are no teams but still you are getting surrounded.
It's not that I am getting annoyed that quick, but as I said before today I had bad luck on this map.
Luckily I won most of the other rounds, so I won't complain

I don't necessarily have the game but I've played it when I have gone over to my friends house and it really is a great game and addicting too. This game keeps you playing because of the online feature otherwise i think would've stopped playing it along time ago. Even now i still go over just to kill my friend or we take turns killing people online either way this game is fun but I will admit before I played it I really thought it was going to suck since I generally never play first person shooter games the only other FPS I like is halo.
But I also know some people who absolutely dislike Call of Duty,
but they have never really played it.
They come with predjudices like:
"I don't like tactical shooters!"
"You don't have HP, so you can take cover every time and be at full health, so that's no fun and it's way too simple!"
"All those real weapons are nerdy!"
"Graphics are shit!" (sorry for the bad language, but I'm quotating ^^)
"Controls are too difficult and it's no good for beginners!"
-
It's unbelievable, isn't it?
Especially the graphics stuff ... In my opinion, too it's one of the best FPS in stores and the atmosphere is like real war.
I won't praise warefare, but the game is excellent, especially on higher difficulties you are getting the right feeling in Singleplayer mode.
But that is only what I think.

Call of duty 4 has to be the best FPS out there. (By the way, in the PS3 version theres a new patch that lets you mute if that helps.)
