COD4 is SO fun

bestguy(By the way, in the PS3 version theres a new patch that lets you mute if that helps.)
They had to patch for that option on the PS3? Wow that's pretty bad.
I think COD4 is alright. The graphics are really good, but I just seem to get bored of it after awhile.
I started playing it last night for the first time, never liked the Call of Duty games until I saw this one about a week ago at a friends house and went and bought it yesterday!
Love it so far have not had a chance to try online but single player is fun!Love the health thing where you can take a certain amount of damage and die or hide and recover! Makes it feel more fun!
That one of the good things I liked about Crysis as well.

This game is a near masterpiece. It certainly achieved well in an amazing storyline, short however. Multiplayer that is plain fun.
However, a lack of co op and in-depth offline multiplayer is what took some points off this game for me.
But none the less, it's an awesome game.

Yeah I think so, too!
Co-op, THAT would be a great deal, but it's no question for Call of Duty 4 alone.
Other shooters, too, but especially role playing games as well!
And by saying that I don't mean MMORPGs, but most of the best RPGs of the last 2 years and the new ones.
Imagine yourself playing the most exciting deep-story games with your friends together!
CoD4, Crysis, Assassins Creed ... and many more.
I mean it's in Singleplayer and Campaign where you are sitting in front of your screen, thinking: "WTF this is awesome
"
Therefore how would it be if you experienced this feeling in a group?

Just bought Game of the Year Edition and forget about whatever you've heard, the new map-pack is brilliant. Great buy, by far worth the $60 I shelled out for it. In other news, Prestige Level 2 finally!
COD4 must be the best FPS ever and believe me, i played a LOT of FPS.
Sure we got Halo, Darkwatch, Bioshock and all that.
But COD4 has spectacular gameplay, gives gamers a sense that you are IN the war. You ain't just playing, you are a soldier.
It has good humour which is brilliant because it makes the game more fun.
Of course the campaign isnt very long but noone can say that it was crap.
The campaign has a huge diversity of your part in the war.
From raining explosive shells from above, invading a region, night operations, full out scale war...its just simply wow.
The multiplayer is also very good. I bought the game in the month it first came out and i am STILL playing it.
Its just a shame that there are no vehicles. The closest you can get to using a vehicle is calling in air strikes and helicopters in multiplayer.
And lastly, multiplayer has a system where you can customize and optimize your character to your playing style and according to different situations.
It uses a class system where you can change your guns and skills.
Skills that change things like increase damage, more health, more grenades and etc.

CoD 4 and Portal are probably the best games to have been released within the past year. In fact they're the only games I have/would buy at this point.

I've played the PS3 version and the computer version, i'm more used to it on mouse and keyboard =)
I'll admit I haven't read anywhere past page one of this thread, but I do want to say that this game is very good, the ability to shoot through weak material is a nice plus, but when you're online and having a 8 yr old screaming through his microphone it becomes much less fun.

BT-FKLove that One shot one kill mission on veteran !
Oh my god it's so tough. I had problems getting past that on hard, now I gotta do it on Veteran? All Ghillied Up is probably one of my favorite missions though, next to Shock and Awe and No Fighting in the War Room.
