It's a real shame what happened to Tenjou Tenge. I'm not a big fan of it, as I'm usually not into fight stories, and the excessive fan service turned me off, but I strongly disagree with censoring and modifying the intent of the series just to extend the target market. Tenjou Tenge already had a market, which was ok with the nudity and violence. Toning it down was really a bad move.

That is dumb! Corruption! Hopefuly when they release it stateside, they will have it in its original format.

It sure as hell was gonna be censored once it was translated for US, and censored even more once it was aimed at those under 18.

Censorship of books and art is a big no-no in the US. Censorship of manga seems to be the standard though. Perhaps it's time bookstores and publishing companies start seperating the children and adult mangas into different sections. Complaints of nudity, violence and harsh words in a book geared for adult audiences seems kinda misplaced, especially in a manga made by Oh Great!Ah well. Hopefully CMX rethink their position and change gears before its too late.

I was tempted in buying the US edition of Tenjo Tenge (I think a sub-division of DC is publishing it) but after seeing Aya's "lol overpainted" bra, in the scene where the blonde guy catches her in the bathroom... LOL and ;________;

Avoid that thing as soon as possible :(
