New iPods
Apple announced the new iPod lineup today. The iPod Touch is flash based, but it seems to be an iPhone without phone capability. That would be cool if Apple didn't throw out a $200 price cut on the iPhone today. The 6G iPod Classic is just pretty much like the last gen ones, but there are only a 80GB and 160GB model. As for the Nano, I don't think Apple could better the last gen, and the new ones are ugly! Plus, I just don't think watching a video on one of those small screens would be enjoyable. I would just stick with a classic myself. Does anyone like the new Touch or Nanos?

I myself don't like all these brand new iPod stuff being produced..nano's, phones, etc.
Personally I loved my monochrome 20gb, but alas when the hard drive died, I had to switch over to a 30GB video iPod.

Actually I don't mind the new iPod nano. But yeah, I don't think I'd use the video function on it either seeing as the screen is a mere 6 cm across. I think I have bad enough eyesight as it is without having to squint into the tiny screen to watch videos. The only thing going for the nano, is its size and functional capabilities. I would rather have a small size mp3 player rather than a huge one with the same features (with a little extra). I dunno... I'm still tempted to go buy myself one of these new nano's, but I think I'll wait for the 16GB model, if it will ever be released.
The iPod touch on the other hand... I wouldn't mind it, except that it has too many features which I would probably never touch. That and it's still kind of larger than what I'd want. The plus side of this is that you can actually watch videos properly on it.

I agree with Boggart. iPod Touch, if I actually ever got it, has so many features I wouldn't ever use.. so it's like paying for extras I don't need. I myself have an iPod Nano and a 30gb iPod Video, and they suit me just fine.

I like the design and I agree most of the features the iPods have I dont use.
So I would like not so many features so the price can be lower [ bad english I know :-) ]

As long as i can be able to listen to my favorite songs, i can choose both of them. But i still prefer Ipod Nano when it comes to the worthy of the product.

I actually never got interest in getting an iPod for 2 reasons: I'm happy with my cellphone and they are expensive.^^
but a new model its always good news.^^

I can't afford the old ones so the new one isn't gonna be in my price range either

I really don't pay attention to the new iPods. I don't really need anything new. Mine still works, so I'm happy. I can't afford a new one, anyway.
I also don't like the design of the new Ipod Nanos, I think they are too big, also the ipod touch is nice but I think there really isn't enough space for me to even think about buying it.

I'm kinda dissappointed that the touch doesn't have a lot of memory like the normal iPod, but I guess that's to be expected since it has flash memory.

The gap between the release of the iPod Nano 2G and 3G and between the iPod 5.5G and 6G is almost a year.
How much slower do you want new iPods to be released?

Yeah this is why I don't buy Ipods. Pretty much its because steve jobs is just like "what you just bought an Ipod? haha, screw that old piece of crap here's a new one! You'll buy it again and you'll LIKE IT!"
and I mean come on, the ipod touch? its just an iphone with out the phone. Way to be original there.
