Most Useless Anime Characters
How many times have you watched an anime series, and when thinking about it, there was one (or more) character who was there a lot, but who doesn't do anything in the time alotted to them? A character that made you think to yourself "why is he even there?"
As for myself, I think that Leo Scorpse from Scrapped Princess fits that bill. He is there, but he doesn't have any real purpose in the plot except to serve as a taxi service for another, more interesting character. He's supposed to be a knight, but he doesn't do anything in any battles except stand around, it seems. He didn't even serve as a plausible love interest for Pacifica, which he was supposed to be. Heck, there was one character who was better in every way than Leo who didn't even get a name until the series was almost over.
Of course, they don't have to be main characters, just useless. A character who is on screen for two minutes before getting killed can be useful if they advance the plot. Anyway, who do YOU think is the most useless character that anime has yet provided us with, and what makes them so useless?

Well, I don't think Sakura is the most useless character ever. I mean, she has her moments. Their not big moments, but they are moments.
I think that the most useless character would have to be Mr. Satan (AKA Hercule) from dragonball Z/GT. Come on!! Everybody has got to agree with me here. I bet you two woulda even named him if his name popped up in your head. I HATE HIM So MUCH! He's the biggest loser ever!! I swear, I wouldn't really care if he was in denial with the fact that he's the strongest guy ever. But its the fact that he believes he's the strongest guy ever that pisses me off. Why the F**K would he take credit for beating Cell. I wouldn't care if Goku was the one who beat him, but no, a kid beat Cell. What Mr. Satan did was pretty much steal candy from a baby (steal Gohan's victory).

You want useless, how about Sakura from Tsubasa Chronicles. I've seen most of the series and I have yet to see her do ANYTHING. She walks, she smiles, she makes people happy by her mere presence but does she she do anything else? Noooo, that would be too much for the character on which the series centers...Someone tell me if she does something later in the series, I may pick it up again, but until then she is the most worthless main character in human history.
And now the casting for the actors is almost complete,
as we begin the third act.
All that's left is to wait for the curtain to rise.

Hmmm...although this guy is a main character, he is just so panzy. im talking about shinji ikari of course. seriously, all he does is puss out constantly. especially in the movie. he just doesnt do anything except be a pansy.

I would say both Sakuras from Naruto and Tsubasa Chronicle.
but some body told me that the Sakura gets better in later Naruto, and she's even more talented than sassike (dont remenber the spelling, i havnt seen it for ages.). i dont know if it is true.

Lol...seems like the trend of naming a character Sakura makes them useless. I know thats not true but...I completely agree. Seems like Haruno Sakura from Naruto is a useless character and Ninja ( although if you read the manga lately, shes well... ). The Sakura from Tsubasa Chronicle, the only times I've seen her in the anime is when shes sleeping, smiling, or crying for the main character whats his face. Anyway, its not like she has to do anything anyway, just depend on...damn I can't remember his name, starts with an R...hmmm...

Oh come now fili13, hercule isn't so bad ;P lol, at first i really hated him too but after i watched the series again you have to give him some credit. technically he is the strongest "normal" person cuz he sure didn't get to where he is on charisma alone ;)
i find most of the characters in gundam seed pointless. they're there to run the battleships, but the little side stories and antics they try to throw in there isn't that great. maybe i just need to watch more of them and it will get better?

At first he hated him just like you, but the more pathetic, abnoxious, and credit taking he got, the more my bro started to like him. He was one over with tons of laughter. As for giving him credit, I guess I should give him a tiny bit of credit. Like really really tiny. I guess he is the strongest "normal" person. But he's not the strongest human!! Theres always yamcha and krillen (not sure if those are how you spell their names). Hahaha, seems like the gundam characters and sakura from naruto are the only anime characters I recognize. Rukia from Bleach is useless...not really in terms of plot but in her contribution to helping anyone. It's so annoying how she is so sought after and important to certain people but she has never done anything special and she's pathetically weak...she couldn't even beat the early Hollows in the beginning of the series!

I'm currently watching Samurai Deeper Kyo, and I think the most useless character, is that one lady, whatever her name is. Although I may be wrong since I haven't seen the last half episodes yet. *shrug*
