Anime Filler

What are your feelings on anime filler? Take Bleach for example, I was a diehard fan of Bleach until they started in with the filler hell. I haven't watched an episode in months now. I tend to avoid anime that is likely to have large blocks of filler. One filler episode every now and then, sure, I can handle that. A dozen or so episodes of filler and I've turned it off . . . forever.
I would so much rather have them stop the anime for a period of time and then come back to it after the manga or whatever has caught up.
Thoughts?

I don't mind the bleach fillers too much. althought its not as funny anymore. i used to get a good giggle from an ep but now they just perade Kon out for a cheap laught thats a bit annoying.
althought thats the only series i think i've seen when i have really noticed any sort of fillers. i haven't watched nautaro or however its spelt. i watched an ep once and it made no sence so i left it.
i guess it all depends really if the series integratiy can be maintained then fillers are good. they have to flow nicly but the only way that can be done is with the original writer who is more than likely trying to write more mangas at the time.

It depends, sometimes fillers are useful to recapitulate the situation or to explain someone's mind or feeling.
But i think there are a lot of them which are stupid & totally unuseful ...
Some backside stories with fillers are good anyway.
I haven't seen bleach or naruto yet ... I know, it's a shame.

I don't know about Bleach's fillers, but the naruto's one are bad enough. Oh, some are agreeable, like the one in which Naruto and co tried to see Kakashi's face, but most of them are just unbearable: no story, animation very bad... rasengan all the time...
If they are so ahead of the manga, they should first make better quality anime, so it would take more time to do them, they would be far more interessant and everybody should be happy. Fillers are good when there is only a few of them, but when it is only to sell something, it is totally unuseful.

Ha ha Bleach fillers suck.. they are extremely annoying! well if you think Narutos are bad then.. you havent seen anything

I hate fillers =/
but I like the fillers from bleach. They are oke, but Naruto fillers are lame -_- I dont even watch naruto anymore. Waiting for the new arch of Naruto whenever that will come, anyone knows this?

I don't like filler episodes too much. Most of the times are annoying and they have nothing to do with the main plot.

Well, that depends on what you understand a filler is. I think if it tells something useful, complements the main story or even repeat or recapitulate situations with the intention to clarify something or offer a different point of view, that's not a filler.

I agree with you. I have many good anime to see, and I can't lose my precious time with series like Naruto. I understand that a large anime has more chances to be attracted to the hell of fillers, but there is a limit.

I agree.. It's okay when it's only a few times (like the one with Kakashi's face), but this much as it is now isen't good..! I would like it better, if they had take break with it insteed :)
