Looking for a new case...
1 Page: [ 1 ]
Hey!
I'm looking to buy a new computer case!
It should be very small but still able to fit my 7800GT...
I am also willing to buy a new mobo if needed - Like a microATX board...
Right now this is the best one I have seen...Do you guys know of any others?

Are their any cases that look like an Xbox 360?

Yes, you got the best chassis for a pci-express barebone system. i cannot recommend anything else.
I would say dont go through tiger direct. the case looks good but try other places... if your in the state newegg, if in canada ncix.com

Newegg doesn't sell that case(That's where I usually buy)...
But is their any reason not to go Tiger Direct? I mean from what I've hear it is a pretty decent online store...
That aint a bad looking case i brought a new case not 2 long ago as my old one was falling apart the case is called an Xblade i got it on ebay for $59.95 and it looks allright plenty of air vents fans lights etc

That's definitely a nice case...
But it is unfortunately a bit large...And for right now I am definitely "digging" the small look...
Goodevening.
if your looking for little why not go the shuttle box way. small very small even and they can happily take a 7800 for space. the SLI version also deals with the heat rather nicly.
i'd suggest this model.

its small a little exspensive but it has eveything apart from ram, cpu, hdd and optical drive. so alot of stuff. i've built a few shuttle systesm too. small and quiet.

Got a question...The Barebone you recommend retails for $375 dollars...
Now if I bought a case and a motherboard it would run me about $200 dollars...
Why would I want to go with the shuttle?
EDIT: After doing more research...The shuttle seems AMAZING! Now to look for good deals on it...
But the Shuttle only has a PCI-E 1x slot rather than a PCI slot...Can I use a PCI wireless NIC on a PCI-E 1x slot?
Ahh right.....hm....not really alot avalible for the pcix1 slots. the most i've seen are TV Cards.
also as you want a good graphics card too i would suggest a usb wireless connection. if you can stretch to it.
but if you go for the case you picked you need to get an mATX board. due to the size of the thing. if you do
decide
to go that way might i suggest a EVGA 131 K8 NF44 AX, don't know if you can find them in the US but its one
of the only mATX boards that can do SLI and it has a single PCI slot at the bottom allowing you to have your wireless.
but dose it have to be wireless. as you have/getting/got a 7800 you must be gaming. and wirless isn't great for online gaming. if thats what your doing anyway.

Well...I don't plan on ever using SLI so that isn't an issue...
The reason for wireless is that my router and modem are on the first floor and my pc is on the 2nd floor - So...bringing an ethernet cord up is not possible...
And from what I've read none of the USB wireless devices are any good - I'll have to research those again though...
EDIT: Checked newegg and found this...Which looks like it will work great in linux and has good range...
