I colored it mostly again, redid the skin and such. There are still some unfinished areas like the collarbones and the curse seals, but I'll be fixing that. The main thing is, I don't really know of a theme that can really go with this paper, and I don't know what kind of techniques I should apply. Should I use a texture in the background? Should I put curls around the edges, or something more horrific like claws? Should I maybe use a grunge-ish texture?

Well the image is very dramatic but the background is white. If you like, play around with some stock photos for a theme.

Another idea would be to introduce some colours into this wallpaper...like, angry red eyes...blood splatters?

Thank you! But since I'm still new to this wallpaper thing, what are stock photos? I would love to do the red eyes and blood splatters, but should I only do it on one side (the curse seal marks are creeping up only one arm kinda has that effect) or something? And I think if I were to put a shadow over the whole picture or part of it, I should get some kind of texture or something.

Stock photos are royalty-free photographs which you can use in backgrounds.
You can get stock photos from all sorts of places, but here's one.
