Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Hello i want to talk about soething that has been bothering from the very first time i saw and anime how many episodes does a good anime need
13
24-28
51
168-?
an anime serie that is to short leaves you asking for more, for example ikkitousen
while series like bleach, naruto, and one piece (those are good animes) they leave you wondering if you will live long enough to see the end.
one pice started in the 90's and to the date it hasnt show any signs that it will ever end.
Naruto is the top example this days with so many fillers that many people have lost interest, i think they will not show the same pation like in the beginning so you see to many episodes is bad and very few episodes is bad as well.
So everyone what do you think

Personally i like the animes around 24-28. that seems like a good amount for character and story development. the animes that are around 12 or so episodes seem short to me. its like i wanna see more, but its fine because they were able to get the job done in the 12 episodes. and then theres the animes that go 50+ episodes. i dont really mind if theres 50+ episodes as long as there arent fillers, or the fillers are bearable. yakitate japan being one of my favorite 50+ animes, it doesnt have too many noticeable fillers i think. and then theres naruto which i think is a good anime, but sometimes the fillers are just too much.

i guess the episode count doesnt really matter. there are some animes that have 100s of episodes but it doesnt really seem like it because its such a good anime, but some animes that have around 12 episodes and seem like they go on forever.

I believe that a good series must last by the minuses 25 episodes and if you are successful deberia to remove to one second season or a pair from ovas or films, but return to repeat 25 episodes is the indicated thing

Interesting question. My first anime was Sailor moon and eventhough it had 200 episodes, after it finished i wanted so much that it had 200 more episodes. Right now i'm watching Bleach the most and it looks like they are not planning to end it soon. That i think is goob because it's very interesting. For me it doesn't matter if an anime has a lot of episodes as long if it is interesting and fun to watch. I've watched a lot of anime that had 13 or 24 episodes and somehow i don't find it enough. I think that anime should have at least 50-100 episodes, so that when it ends you don't be left asking for more. It story should be finished and fully developed as well as the characters.
About the fillers... I know that filler episodes are not so interesting and not very much connected to the original storyline but they are also necessary. That way manga has time to go ahead of the anime and you are assured that they won't stop making it. Because if they come too close to manga and they decide not to make fillers they need to stop the making of new episodes which will cause bigger loss of interest than making a filler. They just shouldn't make that filler too long because the quality of filler episodes is not so good as those of original episodes from manga.
Sorry for my bad spelling.

I think 24-28 isn't enough for some anime, because if an anime has 24 episodes then there isn't so much detail in the anime.

If there is enough detail then the story may be short...

To give an example Berserk is good but, there is not enough detail, also the end of the anime isn't satisfies I think,
Also they may give more detail in Fate Stay Night, and the end may be better.

I think 24 - 48 should be better...

Most anime I like have roughly 50 to over 100 episodes. Hunter X Hunter, One Piece, Touch, Yawara, YYH, and many others. These series leaves room for alot of character development, detail, and plot, etc. In my opinion the longer the better, given it is handled and ends properly.

Although the same can be said for series with 26 episodes, like Cowboy Bebop and Trigun, etc. It just depends on the quality and the way it is handled.

The Absolute limit is 55, Any more than that and the anime FAILS.. All the good animes follow this ru;e, it is the way of life.

I like the series between 24-6, and 51 because then you get a full idea of whats going on and you'dmight understand it better, but then again this dousent always apply (as mentioned before) so i guess its all taste

As long as you're satisfied with the story by the end of the final episode then isn't that all that really matters? As long as the story reached good final conclusion then that should be fine. It does annoy me when an anime adaptation of a manga has an abrupt ending that doesn't do the story justice like Kare Kano for example.

I like the shorter ones, usually. Anywhere from 15 - 30 episodes long..

So I don't have to spend so much money buying the DVDs. xD;

I'm so sad I got hooked on Kyo Kara Maoh. Well.. no I'm not, but still. It has like.. over 7 DVDs?

It depends on the story on how long it will go. Short stories with an obvious storyline can be with short episode length, but stories that have a long adventure to go prefer with longer episode lengths.

I dont believe there is a rule that can be applied here i mean i´ve seen shows that are as short as 6 episodes maybe even shorter that were great cause they filled and played out the story in the time limit they had and was just right also i have seen shows as long as god knows well over 180 episodes a show and they left me happy with the story line as well playing out the story to the point that it didnt seem they left no stone unturned .. i wont deny that there are shows that are extremely short and other that are so unbelievably long that weren't what i expected and that they left me disappointed to be honest .. i believe it really depends on the writer and director and the bugget that the studios have to work with .. the writer and director if they know what they are doing and they know the story well enough like their own child i think they can pull off wonders if they wanted to but if it´s just another job to them then they probably loose that zest that gives anime that spark and that magic that leaves us in Awwww and WoW and of course the bugget has alot to do with it in the end behind every show there are real people putting their hearts and energy into these shows and well they have to make money to live on dont they .. and well as much as they may love drawing or directing or acting or having anything to do with anime if the buget doesn't cover their expenses then they really cant dedicate themselves to giving the best result now can they .. mm i guess i got a bit side tracked there in the end there shouldn't be no rule for how many episodes an anime should have i believe at least .. they should just be honest to the story and try to play it out completely so that the watcher doesn't feel like theres nothing missing and they really shouldn't milk a show for all that its worth so that the watcher doesn't feel over whelmed and bored with the show i believe at least

Well, i usually think that it depends with the manga. 24-28 is a nice number. it can also be 51-52 just like full metal alchemist. as for naruto, one piece, and bleach, i would have liked it better if the series gets a break for a while to let the manga progress then rebroadcast them again. its better than having to watch filler after filler. but that's just me.
