Which characters are better: the males or the females?
I think the MALES! Also since I'm a girl but, it's especially because they are always stronger and more helpful in the stories and they are like heroes, save women and are the main characters..But it's not always like that of course. Some anime show might just be the contrary where women are heroes instead. But I'm talking about the popular shows here: Bleach, Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist, Eureka 7, Samurai Champloo, Tsubasa Chronicle...Of course there are tons more but anyway, all I'm trying to say is it seems that the directors want to give more importance to men than women. But that's just my opinion! What do you think?
I only like a few female characters: Revy and Balalaika from Black Lagoon and Yuuko from xxxHolic. I find males way more useful than girl characters since the girls in anime usually whine or pretend to be strong and try to fight (stereotypes, the stuff I hate). Besides, in most animes girls have these huge eyes and I despise that.
I guess the most dominant Characters are usually ....males, in whatever Genre, be it Hollywood movies, Series, Cartoons Anime, Manga or whatsoever.
But there are indeed Anime in which the female Characters deserve a lot of Attention like Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in The Shell, Gunsmithcats.
IMO I'm fine with either... The Japanimation World needs both in perfect harmony: The male and the female characters. Otherwise the Anime would suck...

I think there's no difference in the meaning of males or femals. Of course the males are stronger, but the females are the ones who bring the males to unlimited power. The love to a girl/woman makes the boys/men stronger.
On the other side, there are also strong woman, e.g. Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop or Sango from Inu Yasha.
The males are often very cool, while the females are mostly sentimentally - both aspects are quite interesting, so I can't say that one of them is better.

I think it all deppends in the anime you´re watching. Iprefer male characters cause I am a man and it´s easier to me identify with one of them.
Males males males! Usually i HATE females characters. let's see...i like Toru and Hana from furuba, Ran, Miyu and Aya from Gals!, Ayako and Haruko from Slamdunk...and stop, i think...oh, no! And Miss Miranda from D.gray-man^^!

Rin Is Ok And His Friend With The Glasses Good To Put Him A Pervert It Match Him And The Girls Are All Cute Like Primula She Doesnt Have Lot Of Breast But She's Still Cute

There tends to be a general lack of captivating female characters in anime. Atleast in my opinion, anyway. I don't usually like the main male character, but the secondary male characters are usually pretty interesting in the manga/anime I read/watch. So I'd have to go with guys. Atleast they can fight. Instead of just standing there waiting for the danger to walk over and eat them, while they scream for their boyfriend and show their underwear to the world...
That's not to say there aren't some good female characters, they just seem to be kind of rare.

I can't say I have a preference as to whether males or females make better characters. Although, the majority of animes that I watch are male dominated. However, I would be REALLY disappointed if I didn't see any female characters at all in an anime. Hell, I doubt I'd even watch an anime that was like that. Although, what's interesting is that I can however, watch the opposite like Strawberry Panic for instance.
My bottomline is that I look forward to the INTERACTION between female and male characters! So I can't really say which one is better or not. They both contribute in their own way to anime.

Actualy,it doesnt matter that the male is strong or cool or handsome or the female char is hot or what so ever,its what the contribute to the anime
Yup,interaction between the characters.they all did some contribution afterall.You can see,alot of sub character,doesnt matter male or female,helps the main character in many anime.

Nah,MooMooCow1314 is my real-life friend,I don't realy think what he said is right.He is totaly crazy over anime girls,you can see almost 90% of the anime he watch got girls and he will be watching it non-stop until he's satisfied

The most popular animes usually have male leads like Naruto. Females are usually supporting characters that usually seem very annoying to me. I hate Sakura from Naruto. I loved Noir. Karika is one of my favorite characters. So I guess it really just depends on the anime.
