Download or online
Most of the animes ive seen ive downloaded with torrents, and some from direct-DL sites, BUT, thats not the only way to see them. I found that i can watch anime with-out downloading them but from a online (like you tube)
I know there are some collectors who DL but there are also people who rather watch them online.
I personaly started to watch them online cause my hdd is full (:P) and if i get enough free room ill start to dl again, but couse i found some direct-dl sites im going to use them.
How to you do it, and what to you prefer and what is the cause of it?

Most anime been taken off youtube now. there's probably other sites that have shows up streaming but i don't know what they are.
But you dont dl them at all or its only at the moment you use you tube?
I'm a person who strives for quality when watching anime. For instance, I downloaded an anime 20 GB in size (a one shot 20 GB download), didn't like the quality of it so I deleted it and found another version before viewing it. So I really can't stand to watch anime online since the quality of it is just too low by my standards to watch (gotta love those H.264 encodes!).

lol...u did wat??
normalli if you plan 2 dnld 20GB of anime, i suggest you look @ the description or ask the seed/uplder wat the quality is like. that way you dont need 2 waste your time =D
as 4 watching online, i dont do it for 2 reasons:
1) as zanmato666 said, low quality and i'm a pretty demanding person wen it comes 2 quality
2) some series i copy a version 4 my frends, which would b impossible if i watched it online
Quite extrime dont you think. when i down load i check it the first chance i get, and if i dont like it i just cancel my dl and find new one, i think the biggest thing ive dl is the whole Ranma 1/2, it was more 30 GB. And btw not all anyme have crappy quality ive seen quite good ones also, though your right that 90% them have bad quality. but if i can understand whats going on, i dont mind at all
I download anime rather than watch online, mostly because I like to be able to watch or rewatch anime without being connected to the internet (all hail laptops). I do use YouTube to try a series before I download it sometimes though
I am also a collector and somewhat of a source for anime in amongst most of my friends ... and its mainly becauase I have connections or memberships at so many direct DL sites ;) (its a beautiful thing direct download!).
However, a trend I have noticed is that most of the better DDL sites have also started offering free anime streaming as well... Have not really tried it myself, but it seems like a good idea if you wanted to preview the anime before downloading it yourself. (not sure if we are allowed to recomend, but anime-eden is so far the best site I have seen for this kind of thing, I have lots of other recomendations ,but its just the best overall I have encountered *chuckle*). Youtube is just horrible quality, USUALLY, so I do not even bother... to me its more for those 30 second clips or anime music videos!
anyways, that's my two cents... more like five cents, but the final thought has to be "Direct Download all the WAY!"

I prefer watch animes in Pc, donwloading and recording them. My hd is full to, but recording the videos its best!! you tube never have animes in portuguese... ;_;
Hm, I like to download anime then erase them when I've watched them :P If the episode or series is really good or decent I would save it. It may sound tedious but it is what I like to do.. hehe. I would not mind streaming if I could not find a place to download though, so it is just a safe fall-back plan.

I do almost the same, but only with long animes such as bleach and naruto, dl - watch - del. But online watching is great way to see if you really want this seris/movie at all, and then download it.
Actualy i too am collector though only the best ive seen, (round 50 animes burned bout 20 still on hdd and 20-30 checket out online)

Personally, If I want to download an anime, I like to watch a part of it online first to see if I like it. Otherwise, i dont want to waste my bandwidth downloading something that i dont like to watch. I downloaded this one anime without watching some of it online, I didn't like it so i imediately deleted it, it was a waste of time and bandwidth. also, if i like an anime, i would download one that is high quality
DOWNLOAD! ffs better quality, no buffering, no parts, you can actually read the subtitles, and if you want you can burn it/play it somewhere else
Thats kinda one-sided dont you think ?
I go on youtube to watch anime online, but because most of the anime is bad quality, i perfer to download it and watch it so i can get the best the episode can offer. also downloading anime allows me to watch it offline, so i dont have to be on the internet, and i can even put em on my psp to watch, i think i can anyway, i will try though cuz its a great way to pass ma time when im bored.
