it's so disgraceful...it's not even entertainment x.x it's just a lot of bad things happening and a no happy ending...i don't like this kind of animes

I couldn't get into all the violence. Sure there was some cute characters but dude.. x_X.

Well, I LOVED it. The only thing I didn't like was the whole thing with Yuka being in love with Kouta. They're supposed to be cousins!

Man, that title song is just beyond awesome too. The first half of episode1 is just so chilling and evil mostly because of that song.

I didn't really care to see Nyu, Lucy was so much more interesting and tragically twisted.
Nana was pathetic in an endearing sort of way, like a lost puppy.
Mayu had a sick life (reminds me of paranoia agent in a few ways)
Kouta was out of his head, 'nuff said.
Yuka... well, she has almost as many issues as Kouta.
Bandow was an ass, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching Lucy fu<k him up.

Elfen Lied is awesome yea iron i also agree with yuka being in love with kouta, the only thing i didnt like was how it ended a lil bit 2 short for me

I absolutely loved it after just one episode. It's so morbid and horror filled. It's different. I think the story is interesting. And I really like Lucy. Such a badass.

I agree, Lilium is an awesome song and I love the opening.

I love elfen lied! in fact its #5 in my favorite list!! the only thing i dont like in the series is the fanservice because it seems out of place. well anyway i still love the story and i dont think that the ending was bad at all!

Kouta should have stayed with the girl together that he kissed first... was bid pissed as he kissed lucy even if they had a past together.

Absolutely loved the series.

The first episode immediately got me addicted to it. Even the memory of it stays in my head because the plot was so sad i almost cried while watching it. Especially the flashback memories of Lucy of how her life was being a kid. The fan service i didnt care much about it and i think you would have to be some sort of bastard to think pervertly while watching it because i certainly did not.

I think the series would be better if they shows a bit of what happened in the ending. Well thats my own opnion anyways LOLz.

The fact that maincharacter was a girl with amazing (yet terrible) powers. She was cool and all, but I also think she was a bit too much...
Hard to say if I loved or hated it.
A little bit of both perhaps? ^^

Ost was good, i admit it.
but i think it has purposeless extreme violence. how can a little boy kill a puppy? where in the world a child react a murder so cool-headed? it is just an violence anime which has a good music and beautiful nude girl.
can someone plz tell me the real reason why they like this anime? if you need violence play crimsonland; if you want powerful superwomen watch xmen3, if you are looking for cute girl or romance watch anime :) and if you want figting or non-fighting nude sexy girl, watch hentai (i must say 18+ but for elfen lied fans i don't need to say this :)) but there is nothing good happens in the story (and yes, i saw all the irony and symbolisms) and don't suggest it to your beloved friends :)
-but if you really want to suggest it to someone, suggest it to your prof. uncle for his character analysis and research if they can endure this.

I haven't seen this anime before. From most of the posts i read, it seems good.

I like elfen lied even tho the first episode sorta freaked me out. it has an interesting story from my perspective.

When I first saw this show, it sucked me right in. The story was really good, and has some good twists in it. Elfen Lied wouldn't work without all of the violence, it ties into the story, and shows how cruel and dark humans can really be.

Ah, i love this anime so many blood and severed human body parts flying everywhere! RAWR! but not enough, i wish there were more blood and flying body parts... we need more violence in anime!!
