Ok i just got this mini series spin off of excel saga a couple months ago and it is probably the craziest thing i have ever seen. its not an anime for kids under the age of 50 or those that are easily offended. i was just wondering if anyone else watched this series? Or have you watched a serious thats is like this and maybe could recommend to me? and anyone else for that matter.

Its kinda a spoof on the whole magical girl anime genre. the Main char is a 10 y.o. girl poemy watanabe that wants to be a voice actress. one day when she is at school her parents are kill by an evil space alien when poemy learns that she is an orphan she tries to get adopted by her classmate and friend Futaba's family. then the world is atacked by some more evil aliens and poemy finds that by killing a fish she can turn into her super hero self puni puni poemy. From there its just her saving the world, (i use that term really loosely since i think she probably causes more damage then prevents) and trying to become a voice actress.

it's only 2 episodes so an hour long for the whole dvd but i thought it was a good investment being that if you arnt too easily offended then its just a hilarious serious that every time i watched it i noticed somthing new that i didnt before that made it just a bit more humorous.
I guess if you want a bit more on it then you can go to amazon.com and look up the title "Puni Puni Poemy". i dont really want to get to detailed and give to much away to spoil it for those that havnt seen it and might want to see it.

Not to mention that it's really fast-paced, so you have to get used to reading quickly XD
I think it's worth the money, although it would be better if more sensitive people don't watch it XD After all, it's not for everyone!
I thought the not-so-subtle hints at famous shoujo series, like Sailor Moon and CCS, were a killer. Not everyone can make spoofs that end up being as successful as this one!

Seen it, I still Borat was better at this.
but if I have much to say, Cromatie high school was greater than this, short term explosive off shot series.

I've wathced it... I was totally like this after that --> 0_0!
It was really funny at the times... but 0_0!
I'm not so easily ofended, but they were really overdoing it... the most parts ^_^. In the end I concluded it's just for fun, so it ok. Really crazy!

I've watched it. It was really random (though that maybe an understatement).

I watched it and honestly I didn't like it very much. Compared to Excel Saga this spin-off was a let down for me. In my opinion it lacked creativity and that Kobayashi girl was really annoying! Boy, she was excessively crazy! ^^
Not that it's a bad anime, there are some really funny jokes but I didn't enjoy it as much as Excel Saga.
But I think there isn't anything like this show. I guess there's no one as crazy as Nabeshin. ^^

I havent watched much of excel saga but the bit that i have seen i can tell that it is deffinately more then a match for puni puni, 26 or so episodes of crazyness compared to only two but i still like puni puni a whole bunch it is as black vice said retardedly funny.
