Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

I understand if you make a few mistakes here and there, but if your whole post is filled with grammatically errors - it drives me insane. I tend to be a bit anal when it comes to spelling and grammar. But hey, I'm human and I make mistakes - but I correct them when I see them. Another peeve of mines is chat-speak. :/ I hate it when I can hardly understand someone. Makes me feel horrible when I have to go "Huh, what? I can't understand you."

This entire thread rings of irony.

I only call people out on their shoddy grammar if they insult me.

I know that my grammar is far from perfect as well. But I don't think that it's just the poor grammar in itself; it's more likely the use of incorrect grammar alongside abysmal spelling. The fact that I talk to a lot of international students daily and online makes me even more aware of the fact of people using the wrong syntax and sentence structure for the most basic of sentences. I've even taken it on board such that whenever I write a blog entry or similar, I type purely in full sentences and with legible English even though I admit to having some words which I will still use regardless of its true inexistence in the English dictionary (such as 'gonna', 'gotta', 'dunno'... basically a whole bunch of contractions that the lazy Australian such as myself would use). But yes, I am quite annoyed when I read a piece of writing (even more so when I read a word-processed document) which contains all the aforementioned.

But, I try to understand them. Everyone makes mistakes. ^_^
I also make some mistakes.[And before I notice it, it can't be edited. -_-]

Well, I don't really know what I should say here.

Just let me tell you this: I'm not a native english speaker. I have had english in school and yeah, I had good grades. BUT: like you all know what we learned at school is fast forgotten. I don't use much english in my life instead of some forums I'm visiting. I know that my grammar and syntax are awful sometimes but hey, we are all just humans. Everyone makes mistakes it's just natural.

I have seen some post which I really had to read twice or even more before I understand what the person wanted to ask/tell. It's annoying sometimes but always keep in mind that not every person is a native english speaking person here.

Using a dictionary or translater didn't help you with the right syntax. It gaves you translations for the words you are searching for but it can't help you write a hole sentence in the right syntax. Languages are different. Not just in translation but also in grammar and syntax. I always had have the problem of writing the right way in english because I think in German (my native language) but the syntax is totally different from english.

I don't blame people for making mistakes because I also made them.
If I can't understand what a person is saying/writing I always ask if he/she can explain it to me. I don't avoid the person just because he/she can't write in a correct grammar or syntax. I think it's lame and unfair to do so.

It really doesn't bother me, I usually have a good laugh when I read something like that. Although, if the writing is for serious people like those that are to be submitted to those who are in authority like you boss, or professors, wrong grammar can be annoying. It makes other people think that you can't do good writing even if your evaluation depends on it. And it also shows signs that you are serious about your work because it shows that you just wrote for the sake of doing it.

Well... English is my second language but I have been living in USA for..... 21 years and I still have horrible grammar problems. I blame it on LAUSD school district (hehe).

I can't really complain much because my major is Comp Sci =P. I'll get back to English one day.

No. It doesn't bug me because grammar is invisible to me. T_T

It doesn't really bug me that much if I know the person who's typing to me in person. If I don't know you in person, then I try not to judge, but if the person uses too many substitutions/abbreviations, then I end up not talking to them again ><

How you type online doesn't show how intelligent (or unintelligent <_<) you are, but it does say a lot about your habits and how you treat things.

I have a lot of spelling errors whenever I am on the computer (due to not pressing keys hard enough, or just not even spelling stuff correctly) and my b/f always will correct me. The fun part though, is that he makes spelling errors all the time too XD then I get to correct him haha!

Well being OCD myself, I cannot tolerate poor grammar. In fact, I usually stop reading a post if the person cannot properly formulate a sentence. However, if this person is not originally an English speaker, I usually have some tolerance, though not much. It's just my compulsive nature (._.); emoticon

Depend on situation, sometime it bugs me. I often find excessive bad grammars are so annoying. I don't mind little mistakes. But not too much. As for myself, I am not really good at English. I do notice another people are like me, maybe not so perfect. Some people are like perfectionism about English, sometime they annoys me lol.

Well, I'm not a native english speaker. So I can feel how hard it is to write such a well grammarized sentences. I'm not too bother the other people's grammar too, as long as I can understand them, it's okay for me. ^^

Only sometimes.. for me, comments and PMs are totally fine but not in forums... it's hard to understand

even though, English is not my first/native language but I study in an International school so it bugs me sometimes in public.
