Tsundere Girls vs Yandere Girls
1 Page: [ 1 ]
A tsundere will refuse to talk to you in the hall, but start to secretly hope you'll continue trying to talk to engage her in conversation. She'll start thinking about you all the time when she's at home. When she finally breaks down and goes out with you, she'll be at a complete loss when it comes to romance and will come to depend on you totally.
A yandere will think you resemble the little brother she killed but have since repressed the memory of. She will steal the key to your apartment, hide under your bed while you're asleep and masterbate. When you leave the next morning she will lick the pillow and then check your answering machine to see which bitches are trying to steal you away from her.
so... erm, which do you prefer?
Examples of Yandere
- Psycho Kaede
Examples of Tsundere
- Shakugan no Shana
More examples are welcomed contributions.

Shana is DEFINITELY my favorite tsundere, plus Fate Testarossa as well.
Just about everyone in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni goes psycho at one point, but that was because of *Spoilers* the Hinamizawa Syndrome.
Is Haruhi from the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya a tsundere? She was pretty antisocial until Kyon gave her the idea to make a club, and she began to soften up after that.
She may not be very well known, but what about Kirino from Gift - Eternal Rainbow? But then again she, like Kaede in Shuffle!, was able to go back to the way she was...
Oh yeah, another one, what about Harima Kenji from School Rumble? Mai Kawasumi from Kanon?
Wut about Sekai and Kotohona from School Days? Those chicks went psycho in the end...

Tsundere OF COURSE!! SHANA FTW and having someone check your lick your pillow going crazy over is nice too...and kaede rocks like crazy too but making a girl depend on you totally pwns like mad xD another tsundere is Nanaka from Myself;Yourself
(checks under his bed) Well not all Tsunedere and Yandere types are that extreme.
Tsunedere's are your "tough on the outside, soft on the inside" cookies. Yandere's have that "cute but cruel" feel.
As far as a T-type goes, the girl that clearly comes to mind is Naru Narusegawa from Love Hina. Despite the brutality of her physicallity, she's very vulnerable.
I'll have to come back on what type I would gravitate towards since both have rather appealing qualities, the ones short of complete psychotic destructive behavior.

K, here's the my opinion answers to all of 'em
As for Haruki, it's still not official if she's Tsundere. It's still debated by all the Okakus
She's "Tennen" or you if you wanna put her in the "Yandere" section.
He's just "Baka" not "tsundere". lol But I would put him in "Gyakuso-kun" section.
She's in different section of "dere" forgot the name for it.
K, Sekai is "Yangire" and Kotonoha is "Yandere" those two are total different section of "dere"
hope that answer the Qs
anyways, as for me I prefer "Tsundere" or "Cudere"... There are a lot of cute Tsundere charas:
Madoka - Kimagure Orange Road
Kyoko - Maison Ikkoku
Rin - Fate/Stay Night
Naru - Love Hina
Asuna - Negima!
Urumi - Great Teacher Onizuka
Louise - Zero no Tsukaima
Asuka - Evangelion
Akane - Ranma 1/2
Kaname - Full Metal Panic!
Sakura - Naruto
Sango - Inu Yasha
Shana - Shakugan no Shana
Nanaka - Myself Yourself
Kagami - Lucky Star
Skuld - Oh my Goddess
Nagi - Hayate no Gotoku
Kanade - Candy Boy
Reika - Goshuushosama Ninomiya-kun
Precea - Prism Ark
Kei - ef ~ a tale of memories
Tokine - Kekkaishi
and list goes on and on~~~~!

Tsundere Rin from FSN :)
Haruhi is rather difficult to place as a tsundere archetype. In terms of the combative nature towards a focus of interest, in this case it would be Kyon, she rarely does anything physically torturous directly. However, Kyon's laborous tasks and seemingly little reward or praise by the task maker can be seen as the indirect cold front exhibited by a tsundere type. Yet this could also the way in which Haruhi expresses her feelings and interest. She does have a very authoratative and rebellious personality and in terms of relationships would most likely be the one still in command. It's really not that she has a tough exterior and a soft interior but they seemed to have been transmuted together and act as one.
She does have a certain kindness embedded in her personality yet whether or not that's hidden underneath a cold exterior which would classify a tsundere is up in the air. It's more probable that Haruhi is just the type that shows kindness in a different manner that the usual obvious sweetness people are used to seeing. In EP 12 "Live A Live" Haruhi's concern for others was seen when she stepped up and helped the ENOZ music group during the school festival. Kyon comments about Haruhi's restlessness about the entire situation saying that she's not used to being thanked by others. Interpretation of this most likely leads to Haruhi feeling that any "acts of kindness" she performs is more of an obligation than a purely selfless, active, and emotional concern for others. To be kind is something an individual should do and praise or thanks is really unnecessary. This rather makes kindness sound autonomous, or less romantic than we'd like to believe. Any acts Haruhi performed prior to the festival were to be categorized this way. Yet what made ENOZ seemingly special was the timeframe and readiness to fulfill the act. For Haruhi, the performance would need to be flawless, however, she didn't have enough time to prepare and thus felt a little inadequate as to whether she was able to help them at all. This feeling increased the next the day. However, the overwhelming joy and praise given by the members of the group later on threw her off balance. What she felt wasn't good enough, was in fact good enough, and caused her to feel restless and confused.
In the end, it's not the fact that Haruhi lacks the genuine kind and loving personality buried underneath that tsundere's have but her perception and behaviors of such are different than what is expected and show on the surface yet in ways that can come off as the opposite.
True enough she does have vulnerabilities yet her strong personality and rational way of thinking (though she strongly believes that aliens, time travellers, and espers exist while on the other hand her reasoning tells otherwise as such is noted by Itsuki in EP...the one when they're in the cab) sort of stabilize her weaknesses and prevent any caving in.

But Haruhi was clearly Tsundere that much for Kyon, I mean towards the last few episodes you can just feel her go "I want Kyon to like me" on this.
This just brings out her character on that part.

Tsundere, but I would still like the option of being able to be the bashful as hell one. I probably couldn't handle such agressive behavior of the Yandere, and the way the Tsundere denies everything is nice. And eventually they totally start doing obvious things that attract the persons attention, (Louise and Shana are the same actor and person) Although this usually leads to the person they like hating them, or just not really able to accept their feelings due to the way they've been treated, (which can last for like 10 years) which is depressing. But i definitely prefer this person over crazy she-demon like on Swimfan movie or some stupid crap like that.
You're talking bout voice actoress: Rei Kugimiya? She's pretty famous for young tsudere voice... But I like Miyuki Sawashiro do Reika from "Goshushou-sama Minomiya-kun" or Mikako Takahashi do Adilicia Ren Mathers from "Rental Magica".
btw, I forgot few more Tsudere charas:
Shinku - Rozen Maiden
Suzuka - Suzuka
Ayumi - Honey & Clover
Adilicia - Rental Magica
Yuki - Over Drive
I'll think it more later...
