I'm new here and just thought why not start this discussion topic? Lol. Its rather unusual i know
. I like being the sex i am now which is a girl but my mum says that its better being a boy. Less sufferings apparantly. But what do you think? Do you like your sex or would rather be the opposite?

Well this is quite a strange topic, but I say it sort of depends on the country.
Both sexes have their advantages and disadvantages and I'm sure different people will have different takes on the matter.
I'm a guy and when people say it's a man's world, they are unfortunately correct in most cases. Human society has not yet developed to a point where we see the two as equals, we have come a long way if you look back and compare where "we" have started from to where we are today but we still have a bit to go.
Lets talk about whats hot right now, the US Presidential Election.
I must say though that I feel the despite the United States being such a developed nation in the world they seem to have stumbled in some areas. For the first time there is a women running for President, and she has come a long way, after now many years of independence? I'm from Sri Lanka and we had a female Prime Minister ages, I mean ages ago and we also had a female president in the 90's.
Ultimately it comes down to the country the person is living in.

Sometimes I think I would much rather be male; less painful, if you get my drift?! That's not the the only reason though, I don't get women at ALL! They seem to think and reason in a way that is beyond me most of the time. The stuff I'm into, most females would find mind numbingly boring! I guess that's why most of my friends are male, we have more in common. I do like some more feminine stuff, like shoe shopping and the colour pink.
The other thing is, if you're female and good looking some men tend to think you don't have a brain and that can get VERY frustrating! But all in all, I don't mind being female. I think no matter what sex I am, I'll always be me.

I like my sex. I'm a boy, and I think boy is simple and easygoing. ^^ I don't wish to be a girl, because they're so complicated for me. ^^

Actually, if I was given a choice what sex to have. I would choose to be a guy and not a girl in terms of the physical aspects. First because, I don't want the suffering if I give birth (but now, I've chose not to give birth.). I just hate the times during menstruation period, it's so annoying and it's painful (with me). But in terms of the social aspect, I would stay as a girl even though there isn't total equality between men and women. This world is still male dominated, but I know someday, women and men will be equal.

I'm a guy, and if I was ever given the option to be a girl for a day I would go for it, just to see what it's like, or have a kind of option where you can be one sex for as long as you want and if you're sick of it you can revert back to your original sex, but that'd be weird.
Im a guy,and by all means are happy about it,I ain't gonna change it.Although I also see that there is nothing bad about being a girl too.Like stated above,Both has their own advantage and disadvantage.As a man,advantage are mostly on pyshical ability,and also men seems to be viewed more highly than women(which I really despite as discrimination is just sick.Pah,people who see women as a lower order is honourless b*****d)And as a women the advantage are very great if they got a men(one who is honorable,reliable and by all means are not g*****n discriminating idiots)who can really be trusted to protect them.
As for the disadvantage itself,believe me when I say men often got riskier job(by no all insulting means,my apologies).And the disadvantage of women is clearly seenable

I can honestly say I'm not sure. I'm a male, and I'm okay with being a male. Only a few complaints about it really.

I'm just fine being male, but I'm a bit curious how's it like to be a girl

because i'm a girl, i can cry as i want, didn't have to hold my tears when i watched some sad movie or read some touching book..
