I think he will fuse with zangetsu and his hollow to become something else and there coulb be a gear second bankai something further that makes the bankai stronger after all tite kubo is a fan of dragon ball

For normal there is no higher level, all they can do is improve there skills.
but for vizards, and arencahrs, they can go much beyond there normal bankai. for example ichigo's hollow mask is way beyond any bankai. he also master bankai soo much that he can release it with out calling out.

To neone who actually watched the show bankai has been labeled as the "final release" but obviously just like in othe animes powers grow over time and ascend but im sure there are more levels to obtain my proof is the vaizard and espada those levels are clearly above bankai yet that is merely a fusion of hollow and soul reaper so its a combo level up not a personal ascentionbut maybe thats the step to the next level think of dbz and dbgt and all the shit they had to go through to achieve the "highest level" and theres still speculation about that please lemme know what you think

You know...maybe in some those really weired anime that we used to watch as children that happens. But I honestly hope that Bleach does not hit that level of lameness. Once it was bankai as the highest thing a shinigami can attain, they would better stick to that. I'm honestly sick of those "and there goes another super power that he developed out of nowhere for this stupid fight that seemed to have no other way of ending, but alas for the power of the author to add and add new powers". I don't want to see that. I want to see Ichigo actually struggling to master what he already has in possession not to go for new powers.

As for vaizards, they might be more powerful than the classical shinigami, but I don't see the becoming vaizard a process that shinigami would willingly go through just to achieve more power.

It is true that i would also like to see ichigo develop new techniques than rather obtaining new power. In the tread i say in page 7 where shimigami level are separated into shimigami(no shikai)> shimigami with shikai> Bankai> ?. i do think there is a level after bankai cause in the manga, just before urahara became captain the previous captain was promoted to a level that serve under the GREAT spirit. IF bankai is as far as they can go why with exception that person is able to get promoted, WHILE the 13th captain and the 9th captain still has not change after so damn long, and they are the first to graduate from the shimigami academy.

Actually the more i think about it the vaizards power is not of a new level it is merely an accessory to the already gained power to amplifly and help develop new techniques and abilities through a fusion of good and evil or what represents them to bring balance which is the whole premise of ss to keep balance of good and evil cuz neither can ever win and neither can exist w/o the other and my ex. is when ichigo fights grimmjow he does not exceed bankai he is still in bankai form fused with his hollow powers to make him more powerful so in conclusion i would like to see bankai become more powerful and gain new techniques and explore the hollow powers and i would also like to see more bankais revealed but i agree with summerssunset is saying i do not wish for the writer to go above the bankai level but i would like to see it expand lemme know what you think

Dunno if this was posted yet, but Above Bankai is Vaizard form and above that is full hollow form. Half hollow form (controlled by the hollow ichigo personality seemed stronger than ichigo). (this happened when fighting Byakuya.) but also glowing blue eyed ichigo appeared twice which was when ichigo had control but still showed stronger than he had ever been (e.g. Fighting Zaraki Kenpachi for the first time.) can they ever decide on an actual list of transformations?

Also, you think he will ever learn another move besides Getsuga Tenshou?

As like what Giantsaw posted i doubt that vaizard is a level after bankai which i kinda posted in earlier pages cause both sides can gain each others power where supposely each side have their own unique skills ... and both vaizard and arrancar just take a part of the power from the opposing sides, and yes ichigo will learn a new move... I HOPE but actually we already see two different forms of getsuga tenshow the range version and the near range version. By the way, the glowing blue eye ichigo is just his determination and concentration just like when he fought zaraki... where zaraki as well has glowing yellow eyes if you notice.

Oh yeah, just a opinion my gut feeling tells me later on ichogo will develop a new move where zangetsu allows him the ability to split by means where exist both ichigo and the hollow him to fight side by side with the black and white tensa zangetsu... would not that be cool?

Here's an idea, remember how it usually takes 10 years for someone to achieve bankai? Except Ichigo did it in 3 days. He doesn't even talk to his sword or try to learn new techniques. He's using his zanpaktou like Kenpachi. Since he went into bankai, I haven't seen the soul of his zanpaktou, Zangetsu except for when he fought with his hollow form. All he knows is one attack that he keeps dumping more and more reiatsu into. When he became a vaizard all he did was increase his reiatsu even more. The reason Aizen can kick everyone's ass so far is because he probably fully mastered bankai. Even so far as to be able to put a spell on everybody to make them think that he is dead. Everyone thought that was his real body and they even did an autopsy and everything. That's real power right there. Not just using your reiatsu but fully tapping into the abilities of your sword as well. I'm pretty sure Ichigo could be stronger if he had some new techniques for his sword instead of just brutally fighting. Look at Byakuya and how much he can do in his bankai. When they fought, and Ichigo was surrounded with swords, it was like they were in a different dimension that only the zanpaktou could bring them to. Ichigo going bankai is just him increasing his spirit pressure and dumping more reiastu into the sword. So Ichigo could become stronger is he fights with his sword instead of just using brute strength to defeat his opponents. Can Ichigo get up to the level Aizen is at? Yes. Will he? Probably while fighting Aizen, Zangetsu will take him back into his world and tell him why he cannot win and it'll be like with kenpachi again except Ichigo will use a new technique. Cuz all he can do is Getsuga Tenshou which gets really lame after a while and easy to predict.

I always thought of a possible next level bankai with using their hollow powers with their shinigami. A true final release of your Shinigami power and Hollow power but I doubt Ichigo will accomplish anything like that for a while.
