Just throwing this out there wat if his vice captain is his zanpakuto and thats how he ended up meetin her because he got strong enough to force his zanpakuto to make her materialize but the fact that he neva fight anything other than one on one makes it impossible for them to work together or for him to get bankai.

For me, kenpachi will do a shinkai anytime soon... and also, a shinkai changes the appearance of the normal zanpoakutou... look at gin, hitsugaya, ichigo, and co... they can change thier zanpakutou at will (except for ichigo) but look at zaraki, his zanpakutou still looks like an ordinary zanpakutou... and inorder for zaraki's zanpakutou to be a permanent shinkai, he must learn his zanpakutou's name (as my memory serves me right) ichigo, when he got his zanpakutou, it was a gigantic sword with a hilt, but when he released his shinkai, it turned into a hiltless sword... zaraki on the other hand has his badly damaged and worn-out. if that is his shinkai, it really looks terrible...

also, wikipedia is very unreliable... my college doesn't even accept sources gotten from wikipedia... so dopnt base yours there... (wiki=anyone can put up information there even if it is wrong)

If Kenpachi would ever have the name of his zanpakutou it would be no doubt stronger than what he is now. Apparently it can give him and edge in any battle that he may face. Just think it would really make him stronger than any captain shinigami excluding Genryusai of course.

As much as I would adore to see Zaraki getting to the Bankai stage. Talk about a powerhouse man! But i reckon that he wont be pushed to doin that until he feels that he can grow stronger by doing so. He already sees himself as stronger than anyone around him and thats why hes got all the handicaps in place (the bells, the eye patch, hell you can even count the shikai release as a handicap).

I'd duck and cover and kiss my ass goodbye on the day Zaraki'll find out the name of his sword XD

The biggest thing that makes Kenpachi Zaraki strong I think is his love 4 fighting. Also the fact that he's fearless

Ur a dead set idiot as well. you can't spell shikai (shinkai?) and if you not only have read the page references and re-WATCHED the anime episodes than ull know that Kenpachi has his zanpakutou in shikai form.

The author of this post in wikipedia actually got his information from a published Bleach book. So you might want to cross reference the ACTUAL source that the author is relying on. your just as bad as ace07, you know nothing about bleach at all.

Back to the real thread, wont it just be simply amazing, maybe emotionally for Kenpachi if he just learns the name without a bankai form. I believe that even if he just has the name, he would have a significant increase in his powers. What do you guys think?

@chinaman91 I guess you are right. There are too many people who post and don't even bother to read or browse the above posts and then just post. I know I've hit this patch countless times as a moderator. But then maybe you are just a little too tough with everybody.

As for Kenpachi...I don't see him achieving bankai. It is against his character. All this time he has been fighting to make himself as weak as possible. What makes you think all of a sudden he's gonna go bankai? And ruin all the fun of slashing and being slashed? Do you really see him doing that?

He just barely agreed to kendo on a very crucial situation. And that really was a nice surprise because everybody was just assuming he's gonna go bankai. But he managed to stay in character and yet not die.

As for the theory of Yachiru being his zanpacto I disagree. There was that scene when Kenpachi fights Ichigo and Ichigo's zanpacto said something like "do you hear how his zanpacto cries because he is not listened to by Kenpachi?" And for all those who said "well Yachiru isn't exactly happy while her Ken-chan fights"... But she ain't exactly howling in pain either. So I think that argument is not so valid.

Yes i agree, him comin up with k**** is most likely what the authors of the manga have his power limit at. Hypothesising over bankai is pointless for such a one off character particularly since the power levels this man has and with his SHIKAI have made him what he is... a man who can't achieve bankai, but has it.

But if Kenpachi was able to achieve bankai, what kind of abilities do you think it will give him?
