Rukia or Orihime
To my Ichigo is going to stay with Orihime, since it is she has more affection, feelings of Ichigo towards Rukia are only friendship and gratitude.

I think they're both cool, Orihime's the sweet cutesy type, where as Rukia's the graceful confident type.
It's a good balance to see them in scenes together, afterall they's opposite but similar at the sametime (man that sounds weird, but eh, I can't come up with a beta explanation)

Rukia fan all the way! Orihime is very cute and funny alot of the times but she doesn't come across to me as a "main" character even though she does have a strong confident side. Rukia is strong and cute at the same time too and the solitudal friendship she has with Ichigo seems more constant while Orimhime's only really gained attention in the HM arc.

It wouldn't be Bleach without either of them. :)

I am supporting the Ichi x Ruki pairings! They've started their friendship first before Orihime... and Rukia can somehow cheer Ichigo better than Orihime.

I like both of the characters.
I love how Rukia's turned from some random shinigami to a person with personality and character. She's really funny and her story is one to cry over. She is always strong and keeps her front up, something I really love about her.
Orihime, on the other hand, is such a sweet character. Everything about her is sugar, spice, and everything nice, even her powers. At first, she was more of just the girl next door with the crush on that guy, but now she's turned into a main character with a reason behind why she's in the show. I also like how she's changed Ishida.

I've always liked Rukia more; she's a very atypical shounen-girl, without curves and not very sweetly feminine. I love her courage, her strong character and will, her abbilities, her funny scenes, and the incredibly cheeky girl that she is.
However, I started the series liking Inoue as well; she was fun and was totally crazy, not-quite-there in the mind. I hate her now. She stopped being funny the moment she became the stereotypical whining crying little bitch of almost every anime. She's now very unfunny, very useless and crying all the time; she's weak and pathetic, and her incredibly over-the-top kindness gets on my nerves a lot. The fact that she reached the spotlight after taking the most incredibly stupid decission in the entire series doesn't help either. The only thing that I like is that, as much as she wishes to connect with Ichigo, she grows more and more appart from him and his feelings, as I hope her story is one of one-sided love and I really hope she matures or at least goes back to being funny

I´m not sure.
Rukia was of course my favorite during the time that everything revolved around saving her.
But now I´m liking Orihime more and more with every episode - until the filler hit of course.
All I can say is that the maker of this show is very good at creating sympathy for his characters when it´s needed.

Yes, you're right Dezoblack..
that's what you call a" well-rounded character development".
