I personally prefer the relationship they have now, over a romantic one. I like the dynamic between them, how you can tell they trust one another and are willing to help the other, but for some reason, while some people may look at that and see romance, I only see two very good friends.
Then again, I may be in denial of some kind and not realize it. Oh well, if they do end up in a romantic relationship, then I won't really mind; so long as Kubo doesn't completely twist their original personalities.

If ichigo loves rukia, then how about orihime's feeling to ichigo? should ichigo abandon cutest and sexiest chara in Bleach? i don't think so 
They act like siblings to me. I love the dynamics of their relationships but as of right now, I don't see anything but platonic love for each other. My brother and I act very similarly towards each other with the bickering, fighting but we are always there for each other and care about one another a lot so when people claim that Ichigo and Rukia want to make babies with each other (I respect your opinion, though) it gives me the heebie-jeebies because I would like to think that my relationship with my brother is not incestuous! 
But seriously if Kubo decides to go that route and develop romantic feelings between the two, I won't have a problem with it. I just don't see it happening.

I'm with the last two posts above mine; I think it's a platonic relationship between Ichigo and Rukia. They very much act like siblings. The fact that Rukia even looked up to Kaien-dono as a big brother and how much she sees Kaien in Ichigo kinda adds to that platonic atmosphere.

It would suck if IchiRuki were lovey dovey and making the show be rated are and all.. I like their current relationship, but like the previous posters, I think they should go one step further. They trust each other so much, and they keep each other in check, so it would be cooler to see they progress. Before the show ends, they should at least hug or something.
I'm really curious about the couples in the end, and I hope it's IchiRuki and Orihime/Ishida

I rather like their relationship as is, it's very solid with mutual support & understanding. I think even if they were to take a romantic turn, it wouldn't be the standard lovey-dovey kind of relationship. I wouldn't mind seeing them being affectionate as long as it's in-character and not shoujo sparkles & mush. :\

I think that as a couple, Rukia and Ichigo really fit together. Though their relationship right now is nice and strong, built on trust, the two of them scream out couple to me. If their relationship were to turn into something more, I'd be so happy, as long as it doesn't go too far. I don't want it to be filled with fluff, that's too OOC. But maybe a hug or two would be nice. I support IchiRuki and IshiHime, so I'm hoping that's how Bleach ends up.
But I know that there won't be any clear signs of affection, due to the fact that that isn't what Bleach is for. But just hints would make me happy.

I like the way they are now. Their relationship is hilarious! I think they should get together, but in a non cutesy lovey way, but a partner way, like from Black Lagoon ya know?
I just like to see the way they are now... Not full with romantic thing but still have romantic side...

I like the relationship they have right now. It's not quite love at the moment but it's fine with me. I love the way they bicker all the time. There is the chemistry there between them and they do care for each other.
I should say that i'm a bigggg fan of IchiRuki...i would love to see them together...but as you guys said not lovey-dovey...though i don't think that those two would ever be lovey-dovey and that is 'cos Kubo has given them very dynamic characters...so what will get is what Kubo has done through out the manga...those two saying whatever they want through glances and generally with the eyes...!!

Hmm...I think Ichigo and Rukia have an odd sort of thing going on where it can potentially develop into romance; they're obviously not quite there yet. I don't quite think Rukia knows the kind of protectiveness she engenders from the men who meet her...they all see through her attempts and strength and want to look out for her because she's so bad at doing it for herself. Ichigo clearly feels responsible for her to a large degree but it's not in her nature to accept any kind of help, whether she needs it or not.
Yeah, hugs and any other non-physical intimacy will do, but the dynamic relationship of them being downright platonic is alright, there's just a bit of fog blurring what IchiRuki has to wind for. Love all guys who said its platonic
