How would you feel if your favorite character... just died?

Mine did die, twice. Vegeta, Dragon Ball Z, Freiza saga and Buu saga :P Well, I wasn't devastated, only very sad because it was gonna take time until he was revived again.
But the discussion is about Bleach, right? If Ichigo dies, well, sad n_n

It has happened to me numerous times. It always makes me cry. Such as Haku from Naruto, Toboe from Wolf's rain and Kaoru from Inukami! to list a few.
My favorite characters almost always die, but that's mostly because they deserve it and/or are the designated villains. But lately, I've started to like nice people, and they die too, so..who knows? XD

In Bleach, my favorite is Zaraki and he's immortal so...no problem here ^^

I have a history of fav characters dying on me...maybe I'm just a bad judge. They always end up being either the bad guy or dead. Here's an example- Ray from GunXSword-dead, Hugo from Magna Carta- dead and a bad guy, Kana from Bakumatsu-dead, I'm attached to blonds, what can I say?

L... well, I screamed against the TV screen and my sister turned off the DVD because I freaked her out with my screaming (and I had already read the manga)
And Ulquiorra... damn, I couldn't scream because it was 3 am, so I ran to the roof and cried and screamed. I got sick and cancelled a trip and fell into a horrible depression state (that ended in two vectors in two days). I wanted to DIE. But I overcame it and have a new goal in life... Strangle Tite Kubo

It's happened before. I usually feel like I've lost a seriously close friend. I actually think I grieve a little when it happens.
My favorite characters rarely die, so I've never had to actually worry much about this. The only character I felt slightly sad about was Kate (??) in HunterxHunter, and only for a while because the character just appeared and I was interested in his ability. Other than that, my favorites are mostly alive.
My favorites in Bleach are Hitsugaya, Rangiku, Shinji and Hiyori. Hitsugaya's highly popular and unique (only young captain), which means he probably won't be dying soon, and Rangiku is deeply hurt already, so unless someone sneak attacks her, there's no chance of her dying (yet). As for Shinji and Hiyori, they're pretty new, and just showing off their powers -- it's going to be very unwise if the mangaka decides to throw them away this soon. Conclusion? Nope, don't see them dying, not very worried about it.
If any of them died, though...Hey, that's what fanfiction is for, right? And anyway, this whole manga is about dying and becoming ghosts - what's wrong with ghosts/shinigami dying and becoming human? I mean, my favorite characters in Harry Potter are James Potter, Severus Snape and Fred/George Weasley - three out of four dead, and I'm still okay with it. Guess I just don't care that much about canon, since I dwell so much in fanon? xDD

My fav bleach character is hitsugaya and if he were to die i would be devastated and it would take me a while to recover

I would scream if my favourite bleach character died, it happens a lot in other anime, like in Rozen Maiden and Fullmetal Alchemist, it makes me sad... and angry...

My favorite characters die sometimes. Ulqui already died in the manga.

For me, my favorite character is always KAKASHI,Luffy And Zoro.
